Bits from "Afterimage," my final film at NYU 🦢🛋️ This project began where I did not expect it to. A song sparked an image of my grandparents, seated side by side in their worn-out chairs, light quietly filling the room. I began to wonder what it might feel like if my Gung Gung could step through a doorway of light into his youth with my Paw Paw, where their love and memories meet in one final dance. A dance they never had the chance to share after she passed so suddenly last year. "Afterimage" became a way of honoring her, of sitting with grief, and of dedicating my final project at NYU to my Gung Gung and Paw Paw, two people I carry with me always. I am endlessly grateful to the incredible people who showed up to set each day with warmth and a smile.
