When I set out to write the Westgate Kids series, I wasn’t trying to write another book about kids from a bad neighborhood. I wanted to write about the real stuff. Bullying. The pressure to fit in. Status. Because whether adults want to admit it or not — status is everything when you’re growing up right now. Who you’re seen with. What you’re wearing. Who likes you and who doesn’t. If these books help even one kid navigate what they’re already living every day, I’m good. That’s why I wrote them. Westgate Kids Series — Books 1-4 available now. He showed up every Friday with roses and my son’s fresh cut. Nine months in, a ring, a promise, a forever. Then his baby mama hit my friends’ DMs. That’s when I learned — the most dangerous villains don’t wear masks. They bring flowers. The Villain is out now. Save it.
