Always be prepared. Unless, apparently, you’re us.

I’m constantly talking about best practices, being proactive, anticipating problems, and staying one step ahead.

So the irony of sitting in a production van heading into Manhattan, watching the gas gauge creep toward EMPTY because someone forgot to fill up, was not lost on me.

We plan for equipment failures, backup systems, logistical challenges, and just about every scenario imaginable.

But sometimes the biggest threat to a successful production is a gas station you drove right past.

Lesson of the day: Practice what you preach. And fill up the damn van.

Thanks @eli_martine (I never doubted you)
Thanks @cole_stauffer_ (for being strong enough to push the van)

@kevinhackenberg always has gas.
