Thankful everyday for a wonderful Mom. But especially thankful today. Thank you for always being a great role model and a pillar I can lean on. Teaching me to always look at things glass is half full. Turn a negative into a positive. Accept there are things you cant control, and focus on what you can control. Above all always do what is right and just and don’t ever stray from that code no matter what. Love you more than words can describe Mama Mary! Happy Mother’s Day! by @kevinjamescasey

With Yoda himself. A couple weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to learn under one of the most legendary 1911 gunsmiths that has ever lived, Bob Marvel. Bob was an individual I had always heard about and looked up too as a upcoming gunsmith for the amazing pistols he had built. Pistols that were revered for being not only exceptionally reliable, but exceptionally accurate. He had shown and taught me things about accuracy that I would never had even imagined. Why some pistols can shoot under 1 inch at 50 yards and why most can’t. Spending a week with him learning how to build guns did not disappoint. It actually exceeded all expectations that I had. What I loved most about the class is how after being in the game for 40 years, Bob still considers himself a student of the craft. Even after building the guns he’s built some even for olympic shooters, he’s still learning and evolving. In addition to being a great teacher, he was extremely patient and encouraging too. Never rushes you to do anything, always reminds you its the little things that all add up and matter in the end. Precision can not be rushed. Learning from him really felt like I was talking to the Yoda of the craft, everyday I was in awe of the things I was learning, and it inspired to keep learning more and more. At the end of the week I did not want to leave, but left with some amazing knowledge and great stories. Bob didn’t just have an impact on my career, he had an impact on my life. This is only the beginning of my journey as a student of the gun which I will always be. I look forward to helping further Bobs brand, exceptionally reliable and exceptionally accurate. #bobmarvel #marvelprecision #precisionmatters #itsthelittlethingsthatmatter #custom1911 by @kevinjamescasey
