I’m just highlighting what I saw as I want evening one to see it.This stunning exhibition on the first and second floors was Organized and produced by Barrett Barrera Projects @bb_projects This MUST-SEE exhibition will be at the museum until January 12, 2025. It was a beautiful evening celebrating the Fashion Group International of Chicago’s Rising Star Awards @fgichicago at the iconic Palmer House Hotel. Fun catching up with old and new friends. I was cleaning a filing cabinet and found this old photo in a magazine.After my undergraduate from @cmuniversity I was lucky to be accepted into the prestigious management training program with Hudson’s Department stores in Detroit, Michigan. After you finished classroom training, you were moved to different positions within the corporate headquarters departments to learn about various careers within the company. During my time in Human Resources, they were developing a new recruitment magazine. They asked me to be part of a photo showing one of the management trainees, which was a fantastic management training program. The photo ended up making the following year’s recruitment magazine.When I found this the other day, I had forgotten about it. Thank you, @atlantamagazine for the opportunity for the sixth year to be on the esteemed list of the Atlanta 500 leaders in the business division. My lifelong friend @kimmyshap who many will remember as Kim Gladstone from our early years, sent me this photo over the weekend. It’s a bit blurry, but we are standing in front of the Metropolitan Museum @metmuseum It was 1986, and a group of friends had all traveled to meet each other in New York City to celebrate and participate in the events for the 100 anniversary of The Statute of Liberty @statue_of_liberty1886 Looking at this picture, we each had no idea what our futures would give us: joy and sadness, exciting careers, and amazing travels. #retailsaturday I finally had the chance to check out the inside of the newly reimagined Tiffany & Company on Fifth Avenue in New York City. I finally have time to post a few things from my recent New York trip.Between meetings, I had time to see The Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The show examined the work of the late Karl Lagerfeld. It focuses on the designer’s work from the 1950s to his final collection in 2019; the exhibition was an incredible visual experience of the designer’s unique working methodology. Lagerfeld’s sketches and video presentations accompany so plan time as approximately 150 pieces are on display. I know this photograph of the Jetsons television show has been all over social media, but think about what it says.I have had the opportunity to lecture on trends for business and college institutions for many years. So often, I used the Jetsons as a reference in my lectures as the Hanna-Barbera writers had a great vision.
