The homies over at B.A.K are building something incredible with the new B.A.K Neighborhood!

The B.A.K Neighborhood will act as a community space for artists to find resources of all kinds including the Kat Cafe where you can find out about artist services and The Play.Ground where you can connect with and hire a creative and/or music professional to help with next steps for a release or your overall career 💻

If energy and joy are the WHAT, our staff is the HOW.

The ones behind the scenes, hands-on with every detail. From sales to onboarding, logistics to production, styling to the aesthetics of how we show up. They care about how it looks, how it runs, and most importantly, how you feel.

Because having ridiculously talented DJs with great taste is only part of the equation. Taking care of people with unreasonable hospitality, attention to detail, and large amounts of love? That’s how we believe this should be done.

Our staff makes that standard consistent across the board. Quick responses. Solid logistics. Thoughtful timelines. The little things you notice—and a hundred things you never have to think about because someone already did.

Sending 25 DJs around the world every weekend to celebrate beautiful couples doesn’t just happen. Someone makes it happen.

These are our someones. And their fingerprints are on everything we do.

Maannnnn 6 years of my life!!

Since I kid I always wanted dreads (heavily inspired by Lil Wayne) and when I finally did it I felt like I had reached my form ahah

But as they’ve grown and I’ve grown it got to a point where I realized 1. It’s too damn hot in Florida for this right now 2. I want to restart them but more free form 3. I wanted a fresh new start

As much as I felt my hair was a big part of my personality I also felt like since getting sober I wanted to have my outward reflect the inward changes I’ve made. This hair has been with me through loss, gain, festival after festival, and trips all over the world and I’m so grateful for all of it!

I definitely plan on bringing you guys along for the journey once I decide to regrow my hair but for now I’m gonna enjoy being able to sleep, eat, and just exist without my hair being in the way 😂

BIG THANK YOU TO @thankmybarbershop & @rawknykz for getting me right. Couldn’t have trusted a better barber to do me justice!

Following the conclusion of BIG Culture and Arts Festival in Gainesville, Florida I got to chat with South Florida artist AntoneNow, who was accompanied by his dj/music director Kev and his hype man/brother, Gabba.

Antone is not only one of the best and brightest artists out of Florida, but in the entire country (and maybe even world). At only 18 years of age he’s dropped numerous fantastic projects, all self produced, each covering a range of different genres and sounds. He’s also an amazing performer, delivering what was the best performance of the entire festival weekend.

In this Casual Conversation we discuss how he prepped for said performance, having his brother as his hype man, his top 3 artists in rap, and more!

BIG CAAF!!

There are so many things I wanna say but the only thing I can surmise is GRATEFUL!

This has been 6 months of rehearsals finally coming to a head. Years of me grinding in this music thing and just trying to be the best me I can be and I couldn’t be more thankful to see it come to fruition in this way.🥹

Thank you to @antonenow for asking me to be a part of this band last summer. Thank you to my band brothers @keesauce @collinrobertss_ for making time every week for us to lock in on this set! Thank you to @rawknykz for letting us use your shop as a rehearsal space so many nights and of course the greatest hypeman in America @gabbatoocool !🙏🏾 (also big shoutout to all our GFs/wives for putting up with this 😅)

Thank you to @lailoosha & @jahikhalfani for putting so much love and time into this festival for letting us open and set the tone! What y’all have created is truly an anomaly and needs to be protected and preserved!! You are providing a space for some many dope artists and truly cultivating a community around that!💜

Shoutout to all the amazing artist who performed and that I got connect with. I am leaving GVille with so much inspiration and that’s something I haven’t felt in a LONG time! 😭

Plus I got to share all of this with my real life blood brother @paulperspective99 and my bestie @boy_paco ! Thank you both for being there and always cheering me on 🥲

Last but not least thank you God for allowing me to do what I love with people I love and for providing me with such an incredible wife and life partner who believes in me @knbcoss 😘

June 25th I’m going to be performing in Orlando at the historic @willspub with a bunch of talented homies for the Storerun Local to Global Festival powered by @thegrocerystorerecords

It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to perform in the O and I can’t wait to share some tunes and lavender vibes with you all 😉

today marks 1 year sober from weed

prior to this year I had been a habitual smoker since I was 13 years old which meant at 28 I had been smoking for more years than I had been sober.

It’s not like my life was in shambles at that point but as my 30s starting becoming more visible over the horizon I began to reflect a lot on who I was and how I wanted to begin this next decade.

My addiction had become so normalized in my career and life that I couldn’t see how it was holding me back and how it had ultimately become exactly that: an addiction.

The weekend of the Grammys in 2025 I went to a local show and had a conversation with a friend who had recently quick smoking and he encouraged me to do the same. His brother had recently done so and was coming up on 6 months or so. But as much as I gave him time of day, I felt extremely reluctant to let go of my emotional security blanket. Then the following day Doechii won Best Rap Album and her first words were “God told me to get sober”.

I felt this pain in my chest instantly and remember saying out loud “Alright Lord I hear you..” but I still used that night either way. The following day I was walking my dogs and hit my vape pen and it was like for the first time I realized just how much my mind and thoughts were altered by this substance.

I walked in the house and made a decision right there to quit. The next couple weeks were brutal: withdrawal was intense. Night sweats, day sweats, lack of appetite, short temper, EXTREMELY VIVID dreams/nightmares and this feeling that “dude this really is an addiction cause what is all this I’m feeling”

Over time it got easier. My appetite came back (maybe too much lol ended up gaining like 30lbs), my sleep began to regulate, my emotions became more stable, and I felt my thoughts and existence becoming more and more clear.

A year later I’ve seen so much more growth, joy, and peace in every facet of my life and although I still struggle at times and wonder what it would be like to go back, I am reminded of how great things are now and that is a feeling I can’t see myself sacrificing. (More in the comments)
