Behind the camera, but it’s my own horse 🥰🤭 @sarahkuhnequestrian took a spin on my new guy today and I can confidently say I love watching him as much as I love riding him! I couldn’t wait for Sarah to sit on Olaf, aside from the trial videos (that elicited a “Buy him!” response) she hasn’t gotten the chance to see much of him. And having been by my side for the last 10 years with many ups and downs in my riding career, I knew he would fill her heart just as much as mine. Can’t wait for all the things we will do together 🖤 According to Sarah, “this horse gives me all the right vibes” I think his coat really makes the beautiful @esprit_equestrian_wear colors pop! #equinephotography #equinevideography #equestrian #aikensc by @keyannafarken
Welcome, Olaf, I’ve been waiting for you. 🖤 I’ve had a whirlwind week that has left me exhausted, but full of gratitude. Since Monday I’ve had a trial, my full time job, 2 client shoots, a vetting and a road trip to bring this special guy home - and I wanted to make sure I put 100% and the attention deserved into each of those things. For the last few years I have had some amazing opportunities, a few leases and a restart project that kept me in the saddle, all which I am extremely appreciative of and grateful for, but I have yearned for something that really felt like MINE. When I tried Olaf I just knew he was the one. I pointed him at the first fence, landed, and said to myself “this is my horse!” A very big thank you to Andrea @cross_creeksc for trusting me with this special gentleman, and @sarahkuhnequestrian for being my best friend, biggest supporter and confidant. Also, to my very special friend group who endured the shopping process with me 😅 (@hlbush01 , @infinitysporthorse , @rudimentalcreature ) I’m so excited to have him home! Hopefully he won’t mind the pink show coat when it’s time to hit the ring 😅 by @keyannafarken
We all have a why… Why you do the things you do, why you love the people you love, why you make the sacrifices you make or simply why you get out of bed in the morning. For me, my ‘Why’ has always felt simple - anything that makes my soul feel alive. I’m an adventure seeker, a thrill chaser and a sucker for a pull at my heart strings. And horses, for as long as I could remember, have provided all those things to me. From my first photo as a 4 year old, in my velvet helmet holding buttercups in a field, anxiously awaiting my turn to climb in the saddle - from then on that was my 1 thing. What ignited me, what drove me, what sometimes broke my heart - what made me feel like ME. As I grew and evolved, and even tried to step away, I always found myself yearning for that feeling again. But in those moments stepping away I found other pieces of myself. One of those pieces was capturing and sharing the beauty of the world and people that surrounded me. The excitement from immortalizing a second in time, an emotion - something raw and genuine. For this venture, THAT is the ‘why’. Taking a piece of my heart and sharing it with the world, in the most beautiful way I know how. So if you’re wondering who the person behind the camera is, it’s just the little horse girl inside me. #equinephotography #equinevideography #equinevideography #equestrian by @keyannafarken
Preview of another Media Day at SKE 😍 So excited about the content we captured today! Such a unique experience to be able to capture not only riders in motion, but training techniques, arena set ups, pearls of wisdom and horses improving in real time. We have some GOOD stuff that we are really excited to share with all of you! #equestrian #equinephotography #equinevideography #sportsvideography by @keyannafarken
