WHAT COMMERCIAL DREAMS ARE MADE OF. 💫
Coming out of hibernation to run this back to close out Black History Month.

This was a moment, comprised of so many moments I’ll never forget. I’m still in awe and proud of what we made.

Also, manifestation is real. I manifested working with the ultimate director @joshuakissi himself. The first time I saw his work I said to myself that I have to work with this man one day. Had no idea that time would be months, not even years, later. It’s otherworldly how he’s just, seemingly, effortlessly able to capture Black so beautifully. His eye is impeccable. I stan.

Thank you @melandlizcasting for graciously working my dates out for me. And to the session runner, you were such a pleasure to play off of. I’ve never had anyone tell me before leaving the room I hit all the right beats. He literally said, “everything you did was perfect, and just know, if you don’t get a callback for this, it was due to something out of your control. Walk out of here proud of what you did. I’m emotional.” 🥹

MARRAKECH.🇲🇦
This city moves with its own ancient rhythm that is, somehow, deeply grounding. Life isn’t lived through screens, adventure is constant, and meanwhile—being seen and cherished as a beautiful woman is feeding my soul. It’s not a restful trip, but it’s undeniably exhilarating. Marrakesh feels alive. And so do I. I’m loving every second of it!

And a quick shout out to Apple Maps because it really was that girl while we were weaving our way through the Medina. 😅🙌🏾

Opening night for @table17theplay at @geffenplayhouse was a TREAT! From the absolutely amazing cast to hanging with old friends and meeting new, the night gets a 10/10. This play is so much fun. A must-see.
@chocolatehipster Table 17 is masterful. You’ve made something incredibly special. My gawd. Congratulations to the cast…y’all killed it in the BEST way!

I had such a beautiful time last Saturday at our first screening of @ninetheshortfilm 9️⃣. EVERYONE on this project poured so much of their heart and soul into this film, and it was so evident onscreen. Thank you @shandaeya for being vulnerable, yet strong enough to tell this story. It’s not every day you get to work on a project that has the capacity to heal some of your inner child. Grateful is an understatement. 🤎
