"You wonder now which path to chart, the answer lies within your heart" Today, 05.22.25, EPIC Universe officially opens and the energy has been OFF THE CHART since yesterday! I have been waiting a long time to make this post and it still feels surreal that the day is finally here. You see, I have had the privilege of working on this project for 3.5 years. First 3 years, being on the Theme Finishes Team for Universal Creative. I had the honor of working with amazing people who make me strive for heightening my career goals, I have made lifelong friends, and quite frankly, I have achieved my dream! My main discipline on Epic Universe was crafting color boards. I worked primarily on the Ministry of Magic attraction and throughout the land. Over 300+ boards! I eventually became the Paint Documentation Coordinator and worked closely with vendors on ironing out the color systems for Dark Universe facades! After my contract ended, I briefly worked on another attraction outside of Epic before the scenic artist in me answered the call to push my paint skills and I landed back into the realm of Epic Universe as scenic touch up and tie in. It's not even every couple of decades you get a chance to open a brand new theme park. I am thankful I get to continue to grow here until the next adventure calls and I couldn't feel more proud of playing my part to pull off this AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL theme park. #epicuniverse #epicuniverseopening #epicopening #epicuniverse2025 by @keylime_ana

Honored to be featured in the latest issue of the GCU Magazine. Wild Ride Keeli Rodriguez graduated from GCU with a theatre and drama degree, but she has found her place somewhere unexpected โ€“ at Universalโ€™s Epic Universe. Itโ€™s where she used her artistic talents to bring Harry Potterโ€™s Ministry of Magic and the Dark Universe to life. https://indd.adobe.com/view/fd5c9668-efa7-49dd-9d43-4589f8d2c8e3?utm_medium=Email&utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_campaign=ICGCU+News+Wed+8-13 by @keylime_ana

My whole career journey really started in my undergrad fundementals of design class where my team and I pitched a retrofuturism West Side Story concept. (seen in 3rd image). I used my last project in grad school in my elective class to execute the concept once again with better tools and knowledge. Unfortunately, I think these are the only remaining images preserved of the project because my computer crashed before the file made it onto my external hard drive. by @keylime_ana

Can I say WOW?! #jomocon2023 came and went and it was an incredible experience. RECAP Ive been attending anime/comic conventions for over a decade and have had such a passion for these spaces. Helping out conventions to be a safe place of escapism and creativity for the people is a large part of why I pursued getting my Master's degree in Themed Experiences. I am SO thankful for the opportunity Director Jason and the committee gave me. I am honored to be part of that committee and to have been the volunteer coordinator for this event. While I have volunteered at conventions before, I have to admit, it was Not easy planning a convention from the ground up. There is so much that goes into every little detail and so many things to constantly think about. But I think I can definitely say it was an amazing success. I am proud of this team. I am lucky to be part of such a wonderful group of people who took me in even though I wasn't local to Joplin. I am so grateful I got to be so heavily involved with something so incredible and getting to do it with my sister as a team was even more special. I am grateful to all my volunteers for helping make this convention safe and smooth. This was an absolute crazy blast. This was my first time in Joplin and it was such a wonderful place. So many hole in the wall places and everyone I met was so friendly. Thank you Joplin for making my first visit wonderful! Also shout out to the Joplin Children Center where half of our proceeds are being donated. Also thank you to the Cornell Complex for letting us rent the space. Hope to see you all again next year! #jomocon #animecon #joplinanime #missouricons by @keylime_ana
We did it! Can't believe the time has come. My graduate school life has been such a unique ride, but I'm so glad I did it! Its giving me new friendships, connections and experiences! I'm grateful to my program and to my professor Peter Weishar for always having his students best interests! I'm so glad I got to graduate with @coleslawcreative we look adorable and now were magisters of Themed Experiences โœจ I don't feel much like a knight to be honest, since I was on campus for less than half of my program but I have the spirit nevertheless! Charge on! #ucfgrad22 #ucfgrad by @keylime_ana
