Why was Iran so important to America in the first place?”
For Cold War strategists, the answer was simple: Oil, Persian Gulf access, and a vital buffer against Soviet expansion. The US heavily backed the Shah, turning Iran into an indispensable regional anchor.
But this highlights a critical lesson in geopolitical risk analysis: prioritizing strategic utility over a government’s domestic legitimacy creates massive blind spots.
When the 1979 revolution erupted, it didn’t just topple a regime. It completely inverted the regional balance of power, turning America’s strongest Middle Eastern partner into its fiercest rival overnight.
Grand strategy cannot survive if it ignores the ground truth of the populace.#geopolitics viralreels #fyp #viral #viralvideos #trend by @kez_kezman

I had a great time volunteering at the Africa Climate Forum @africaclimateforum 2026. It was amazing to watch young developers show off real solutions to our climate problems. I really loved learning about how electric cars are helping to reduce carbon pollution.
This made me realize something important I missed in the seminar paper I presented back in March about how NEMA and SEMA handled the 2022 Kogi State floods.
In my paper, I only focused on how we respond after a flood happens. But the forum opened my eyes. We also need to push for green solutions, like electric cars, to help stop these disasters from happening in the first place.
I met some amazing friends who challenged me to think bigger about global warming. Africa truly wins when we support each other.
A big thank you to @africaclimateforum for the chance to volunteer and be part of this. Like the saying goes: a moving man must surely meet his luck.

You can’t shape the future from the sidelines. Lately, I’ve been pushing myself to get into the spaces where real conversations are happening, networking with people who share this passion for diplomacy and policy.
It’s been exhausting. I was juggling two massive commitments at once: serving as a delegate at the PAAN Summit 2026 and representing the South East at the National Youth Confab. Talk about a time jam! But I made sure to show up for both because I just wanted my brain to work where I’ve been trained all my life.
This picture is from PAAN, where I proudly received my official certification. But the highlight wasn’t just the certificate; it was the connections. I had an amazing opportunity to sit down with the South African delegates to discuss how we can finally end xenophobia in Africa. I pitched a solution I’m very passionate about: an intra-continent scholarship approach driven by the AU, where Africans go to school in other African nations. When we learn together, we understand our cultures, boost our trade, and build families across borders. I also connected deeply with the Burkina Faso delegate, where we strategized on exactly how diplomacy will be used to achieve lasting peace in our region.
I want to be at the table where I can use my mind to build these kinds of solutions. It costs a lot to put yourself out there, but a moving man must surely meet his luck. We are turning the vision into reality, step by step. 🌍🇳🇬🇿🇦🇧🇫 by @kez_kezman

Oil, geography, and power. 🌍

Why has Iran been so important to America? From the Cold War alliance with the Shah to the 1979 revolution, the story of US–Iran relations shows how strategic interests shape global politics.

Today, Trump’s announced diesel deal with Putin, alongside his hardline stance on Iran and the Strait of Hormuz, highlights a central reality of international relations: countries may disagree politically but still cooperate when their strategic interests align.

So, is foreign policy driven more by ideology or national interest?

Watch my latest video, and let’s discuss. 👇

Today at the Pan-African Peace Envoy Assembly, I shared a clear vision for our continent: true integration and a borderless Africa.

During the summit, I called on all African states to adopt Africentrism as their main foreign policy. When we put Africa first, our shared prosperity is certain. But unity cannot just happen on paper it must happen at the grassroots.

This is why I strongly believe we need to focus on intra-African educational and cultural exchange.

Imagine if we developed stronger scholarship and exchange programs that allow young Africans to study, live, and learn in different countries. A Nigerian student experiencing Ghana, a Ghanaian studying in Kenya, or a Kenyan spending time in Senegal would gain much more than academic knowledge. They would build a deep, lived understanding of our shared cultures, histories, and aspirations.

This is the kind of cultural diplomacy that builds a borderless continent from the ground up. Peace is not built only around negotiating tables. It is built through real relationships, understanding, and the willingness to see one another beyond national borders.

I want to deeply thank the President, @kingsley_onuche , and the entire team at the @paanafrica for providing this vital platform where African youth can pull up a chair and discuss the future of our home.

An Africa that learns together, understands one another, and works together can build a stronger future together.

I know I am not at the final decision-making table yet, but I am preparing for the day I will help shape the policies that bring prosperity to Africa. A moving man must eventually meet his moment.

Our nation at 66 demands critical conversations on diplomacy, security, and regional integration. At the Global Diplomatic Dialogue on Sustainable Development, we tackled a core issue: how Nigeria can protect its national interests without fragmenting West Africa’s economic cooperation.
Credit to @africaintercontinental_network for building a space where youth can directly engage in shaping regional policy. It was also great connecting with @adepreshol looking forward to his mental health initiative on the 10th-11th of this month. 🧠
Swipe for moments from the session, including a 12-year reunion with my college classmate @chi_ahmakah , who spotted me and recorded this video.
Meaningful change requires listening. Committed to bridging differences and turning dialogue into actionable peace. My bro @salihu_xi Thank 🙇 ##NigeriaAt66 #independenceday #africaintercontinentalnetwork by @kez_kezman

Real peace in Africa starts with how we integrate our economies. This October 8th and 9th, I’m heading to the Pan-African Youth Peace Envoy Assembly Summit here in Abuja as the Nigerian delegate.
We spend too much time treating our borders as permanent dividing lines. I’m bringing my research to the summit to argue the exact opposite: our borders need to become the primary zones where industrialization and cross-border partnerships thrive. If we want a prosperous, stable continent, we have to make regional trade smarter and easier for the next generation.
Grateful to @paanafrica for making sure young African voices are actually driving this policy agenda. Time to get to work on the Africa we want. 🌍🇳🇬

Just wrapped up an incredible experience at the CCCE Africa 2026 (Climate Change & Circular Economy Conference & Exhibition). The theme, “Natural Solutions for a Sustainable Future,” drove home a critical reality: transitioning to a circular economy isn’t just about protecting the environment it is our strongest economic engine.
I learnt a lot from the brilliant speakers, panelists, and fellow delegates. Two major takeaways proved to me that our continent is on the right track:
We are moving from extraction to value creation: A shining example of this is the massive industrial leap in Niger State, which now hosts a facility capable of producing 6,000 metric tons of lithium. As the biggest in Africa, this is clear evidence that we are no longer just exporting raw materials to the world. We are refining and finishing them right here. This is exactly how we create widespread jobs, boost our economy, and drive true industrialization.
Nothing is wasted (Waste-to-Energy): A standout keynote on energy broke down how reliable power can be generated directly from our everyday waste products. In a proper circular economy, nothing is truly waste. The best part of this model is that it carries everyone along creating green economic opportunities from the local community level all the way up to large-scale manufacturing.
Of course, scaling these successes requires accessible climate finance, smart logistics to move our newly finished goods, and strong public policies that support green business models.
A huge thank you to the organizers for such an impactful dialogue. Now, the real work is embedding these natural solutions into our long-term strategies and daily operations Special shout to @ccceafrica for putting together this powerful conference and flourishing it with exceptional speakers whom dealt with every topic. Now it’s time to move beyond talking to practice, we must carry this message to our communities.

Peace isn’t the absence of strength it’s often the result of it. 🕊️Without something bigger than us holding the rules together, conflict finds a way in. That’s not pessimism, that’s just how the world works.
But we hold power too. Every post, every share a choice to amplify noise or amplify our shared humanity.

Before religion, before tribe, before nation we’re human first. Color, ethnicity, gender none of it decides who gets to belong here.Let’s use our voices to make this place a little more human. Thank you specifically @engageafrika for organizing such explosive event with from the key speakers to the panelists the intellectual conversations we had together will always remain in my memory, my able brother @salihu_xi I’m forever thankful.
