First I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who came, showed up and showed out to my brothers going away party. Without yall this would not have been as beautiful as it was. He loved so many people and I’m just blessed and happy to have seen all those people he loved SHOW up for him in so many ways. He said send him home with no sad shit and I think we made our brother proud!!! To my brother, I love you forever and always. To my brother,
I’ve been trying to find The words and they just won’t come. My brother, my best friend, my hype man, my right hand, my body guard, the list goes on and on. I’m not even sure how to move without you right now, you affected a lot of people with this one brother. I walked outside and it didn’t even feel right. There was an emptiness in the air I was breathing, the grass didn’t feel as green, felt less joyful, the world didn’t seem as pretty today. They say with time it’ll get easier and I’ll keep praying for that day, because I just know you looking at me right now saying aye dri! Stop with all that crying. I love you so much and I promise I’ll keep going. Please keep coming to me in my dreams. Continue to walk with me as I navigate through this life without you. My person for ever and always. The one who always gonna hold me accountable, the person who’s gonna tell me na dri you fucked up even though I think I’m right. There is something beautiful about all scars of whatever nature. A scar means the hurt is over, the wound is closed and healed, done with. The place of true healing is a fierce place. It's a giant place. It's a place of monstrous beauty and endless dark and glimmering light. And you have to work really, really, really hard to get there, but you can do it. There are so many ways to heal. Arrogance may have a place in technology, but not in healing. I need to get out of my own way if I am to heal, The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind AND the hardest part, to forgive. To me, forgiveness is the cornerstone of healing. By far the strongest poison to the human spirit is the inability to forgive oneself or another person. Forgiveness is no longer an option but a necessity for healing. Continuing this journey of openness, healing, finding oneself through God and God alone. Slowly healing and picking up those broken pieces never felt better. 🥰💖 #healing #therapy #forgiveness by @kfb_adara
