Happy international Chef’s Day for all my colleagues, my mentors , my teachers, my friends and everyone who works in the kitchen.
It was not easy to start a new career but it is rewarding all the moments and opportunities I had in the kitchen. I'm still learning and looking for my place within this beautiful universe called the kitchen. by @kgiacomini

📌[Pop up August/13-14]

One of the chefs I most admire in Brazil is bringing her food to NYC — and I’ll be there!!

@manubuffara is one of the most respected names in contemporary Brazilian cuisine. Her restaurant in Curitiba put the city on the world’s gastronomic map! Cooking built on seasonality, sustainability, and Brazil’s remarkable biodiversity.

For two nights only, August 13 and 14, she takes over The Standard Grill @thestandardgrillnyc with a menu that reads New York through Brazilian eyes: pastrami, shrimp dog, chicken liver toast — the city’s street icons, reinterpreted with Brazilian ingredients and fire. Then wood-fired wagyu served family style, with butter rice, banana and bean vinaigrette, and chibé — an Amazonian cassava preparation you rarely see on a New York menu.

Can’t make opening weekend? A selection of the menu stays at The Standard Grill through August 31.

See you all there!
