Small watercolour practice of a Hellebore.

Mount cut using a circle compass cutter (pic 2) recently purchased which I love which may result in circles being included in everything I do!

Watercolours - Daniel Smith
Hot press wc paper - Saunders Waterford

WIP……
I would welcome any suggestions for a word I can add into the centre of this flower garland please. I’ll be using Gold, Platinum or champagne leaf?
Thank you 🙏🏻

Haven’t used watercolour for three months & missed using it so attempting to paint the dahlia I took photo of a few days ago to get back into it.

Struggling with the colours at the minute, but it’s all good practice!

Thank you so much for gifting this wonderful set of acrylic markers, I was over the moon to be chosen to try them.
This is just a very quick initial sketch on gold reflective card (which was so hard to photograph!) plus I chose this card as I thought it may be tricky due to the shiny surface & would be a good surface to put the markers through their paces.

I absolutely loved using them, they went onto the gold surface like a dream.

Can’t wait to try the rest of the colours on a variety of surfaces 🥰👌🏻

Saddened to hear this morning that Sam Neil has died.
Such a superb versatile and charismatic actor.
Sam played one of my all time favourite characters in Peaky Blinders and his scenes of Chief Inspector Campbell with Helen McCrory as Polly Gray were the finest.

I painted this watercolour of him in 2021 as I thought it showed a softer side of him, while still showing his beautiful sometimes terrifying steely blue eyes.
RIP Sam 💙 by @kgtimeforart

A birthday gift commission of 3 beautiful girls to create a piece of art. I worked from two lovely photos.

20x16” in pastels on Clairefontaine pastel board with soft white double mounts.

The family are choosing their own frame plus i was posting it so I’m always worried about frame getting damaged.

Thank you Wayne for asking me to complete for you I’ve loved doing this for you all & thank you to @angela.wright71 for putting Wayne in touch with me 🙏🏻
