🎨 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT | CHRISTIAN BELTON + INA KHAI BROWN + PARIS ALLEN How can art preserve where we come from while helping us imagine where we’re going? Our second Artist Spotlight brings together Christian Belton, Ina Khai Brown, and Paris Allen—three artists whose practices explore identity, memory, community, and the transformative power of storytelling. Christian Belton is a professional artist whose creative process mirrors architecture, beginning with foundational sketches and gradually constructing each painting through intentional brushstrokes. His work celebrates African American heritage while exploring identity, memory, and community, inviting viewers to reflect on who we have been, who we are, and who we have the potential to become. Ina Khai Brown is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural storyteller, and creative strategist whose work moves across painting, photography, installation, performance, writing, sound, and digital media. Rooted in Black cultural expression, her immersive practice explores identity, memory, healing, and transformation, viewing art as both an archive and an activation where personal narrative, collective memory, and imagination coexist. Paris Allen is a visual artist, muralist, and live painter whose practice centers community engagement and youth empowerment. Through collaborations with children, murals, and sculptural works, Paris creates space for young voices while honoring children whose lives have been lost to gun violence. Her work uses art as a means of remembrance, healing, and advocacy. Together, their practices demonstrate how art can hold memory, amplify stories, strengthen community, and create space to imagine a different future.
