In 2022, i was finishing up the recording of songs that wrote themselves during the most difficult phase in my life. I was sitting in my dorm room editing this video feeling lost between the roles of the student, the employee, the lover, and the human. Every time i got excited to share this period, i stepped back refusing to release the songs alone as I was also not able to continue the production of an independent project and visualize the story the way that most represents me. But now, after years filled with sleepless nights, travel, dreams, love, tears and lessons, there is a feeling bigger than me that is hard to put in words but I will try… Music for me is neither a hobby nor work. It was the thing that was most able to comfort me and help me understand how i feel, when i stay silent and how i express. “JAYI (I’m Coming)” is a real journey i lived, now ready to stop being my own! lyrics & composition: ‪‪‪@khaldoun_ad‬‬‬ ‏ music production & audio mixing‪‪@mallakh__‬__ music production (track #2‪@sound_setters‬ters‬ters‬ ‏ audio master‪@mosakr‬mosakr sax‪‪@amrwagi‬@amrwagi‏h vocal men‪@vocalcoachsherif‬oachsherif‬oachsherif‬‏ vide‪@maram_emma‬‪‪@khaldoun_ad‬ ‪@khaldoun_ad‬ music director, executive prod‪@khaldoun_ad‬or: @khaldoun_ad #Jayi #جايي #pop #ep #release⁩⁩⁩ by @khaldoun_ad

NOV. 7 💿 | From breaking to becoming, Jayi is my story with grief, longing, and blooming. Four songs were channeled through transition while exploring my voice as a songwriter in Cairo five years ago. TRACKLIST 🎶 Jayi (جايي) Akh Mennak (آخ منك) A’l A’li (ع العالي) Dawwi (ضوّي) 🤍💫 by @khaldoun_ad
A’l A’li | ع العالي — Out Now on YouTube 🎹🎶 A’l A’li is an interlude — a quiet longing for distant hope and a version of ourselves free from life’s memories and limitations. حنين هادي لأمل بعيد، ولنسخة من حالنا حرّة من ذكريات وتحدّيات الحياة. Track 3 on my upcoming EP ‘Jayi’ (Out Nov. 7). 🔗 Link in bio to watch the full video. What do you think the final chapter holds? i’ve been silent for a while, abandoning myself and lost in a story nearing its end. i’ve been trying for a while, to find every piece of me that left and slipped through your hands. lost... ah. — “Akh Mennak” is streaming everywhere. Link in bio. Frames by @aline.ouais 🦋✨ Executive producer @hadeeltamimm by @khaldoun_ad
This song was very hard to write and film! Heartbreak opens up so many channels of discovery and through it we realize how much ‘love’ can hurt and how much letting go brings a rollercoaster of emotions. While in it, we battle with longing to what could have been and anger towards what was. Both are valid and also through it we come to realize that with every broken piece, there is so much light and love we owe to ourselves. To every glassheart out there, Akh Mennak is for you and I hope it brings you some release. 🤍✨ The music video is out on Youtube and the song is out on all streaming platforms. 🎶 (Link in bio) Directed by @aline.ouais Lyrics & melody @khaldoun_ad Music production Sound Setters Recording & mixing Maher El Mallakh Mastering Mohamed Sakr Executive Production @hadeeltamimm Distribution @tinyhousemusic_ #جايي #indiepop #jayi by @khaldoun_ad
