2024 M1 World Champion 🥇🦅The day after Master Worlds 2023 (when I finally stopped crying long enough to rewatch my matches 🥲) I made a promise that I was NEVER going to allow myself to feel the way I felt in the moment after the finals match ever again. I decided that day I was winning next year no matter what; no one was getting in my way and nothing was going to stop me. For the last year these 34 seconds have played on a loop in my head basically all day everyday, motivating me to work as hard as possible to keep that promise to myself. Delusional, yes. Psychotic, absolutely, but this year I fucking did it! I’ll never be happy I lost that finals match but looking back on the determination and commitment I gave myself this year,as well as the unwavering support I received from my team @alliancebjjsandiego , my coaches @johnnysd @jhonny_jiujitsu @gbriones_3 , my sponsor @leef_labs , my training partners (too many to tag everyone but special shout out to @thatrobynl who committed to suffering along side me all year in every single s&c/jj training despite not being able to compete master worlds herself) and everyone who hyped me back up when I started losing faith along the way, I can confidently say it was all worth it. 📸 @kpetty_photography who sprinted across the venue, literally baseball style sliding in to capture the exact second I became a master worlds champ 🥹🫶🏼 can’t even tell you how much that photo means to me by @khaleesicarr

Little moments that matter the most 🤍 and remind me how lucky I am to do what I do.Sometimes being part of this sport is about more than just medals and competition — it’s about having the most adorable, photogenic little students in all of the seven kingdoms 📸💁🏼‍♀️🐉It’s also about watching those students fall in love with jiu jitsu and being surrounded by people who make each other better every day. 2 years, 3 belts, and a whole lotta hardware as @thatrobynl put it 🥇🥇 but countless laughs, tears, and memories too can’t thank @omni_athlete_training_systems enough for being delusional enough to believe in two goofy little purple belts that barely knew what a deadlift was (never mind how they had anything to do with jiu jitsu), for pushing us to achieve every goal we set for ourselves these last two years in the healthiest, most effective way, for helping us reset our focus after every set back, and most of all for being not just a badass coach but an amazing supportive friend as well 👊🏼 the abs and other muscles were also a much appreciated bonus 😅🙏🏼excited/terrified to see what kind of torture you have in store for our first year at black belt Also huge thank you to the best sponsors @leef_labs and @kpetty_photography for making it all possible and capturing so many of these moments 📸🔥#omniathletetrainingsystems #omniathlete #jiujitsu #itstooearlytotalkaboutyourselfthatway #andthennn by @khaleesicarr
