The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with a little rain. This Olympic experience was not perfect but I’ve gained a little more experience. On August 1, 2026 I graduated from the University of Central Florida with my Bachelor’s degree. This one day has summed up 2.5 years of hard work, tears, resilience, prayer, and long nights. This degree challenged me more than I could have ever imagined. I thank God for allowing me to graduate and I am grateful for my support system who helped along the way.

To my mom, whose relentless prayers carried me through difficult exams. Thanks to my mom I am not a first generation graduate, my mom always taught me the importance of education. Mom you are strongest person I know and this wouldn’t be possible without you. I love you 💕

To my sister, who has taken countless of my crying calls when I got anything less than an “A”. Who has reminded me of the bigger picture and that everything always works out in the end. Your endless support and maturity beyond your years is something I will never take for granted.

To my husband, you have supported my big dreams from the very beginning. You have supported me through late nights and early mornings. You have prayed for me and with me. You have always encouraged me and been right by my side. Thank you for being you. Love you always 💕

To my friends and extended family, the way you love and celebrate me warms my heart. You always show up for me no matter the distance. To my best friend Sarah and her soon to be husband Marcus thank you for always being there. Here’s to the next chapter 🥂

One year ago, I said “I do” to my soulmate, my heart, and my love. I thank God for allowing us to see one year of marriage and I pray we continue to steward our marriage well. Being your wife is an honor that I don’t take lightly. Throughout this year we have learned so much about what love truly is. I can’t believe how quickly a year has already gone by.
