“Oh Winston Salem State University”

Today, I walked across the stage and closed one chapter that changed my life forever.

At Winston-Salem State University, I didn’t just earn a degree, I found purpose, growth, and a version of myself I’m proud of. Every late night, every challenge, every moment of doubt turned into discipline, resilience, and belief. This journey shaped me into the man I am today.

I came in searching for direction, and I’m leaving with vision. I came in with questions, and I’m leaving with purpose. And most importantly, I’m leaving with relationships, memories, and a foundation that will last a lifetime.

Now, it’s time for the next chapter.

I’m blessed to continue my journey at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology. This isn’t just another step, this is alignment with everything I’ve been working toward. The mission stays the same: grow, serve, and elevate.

This transition isn’t an ending, it’s a continuation of everything I’ve built. New environment, same hunger. New level, same purpose. @wssu1892

Grateful for the journey. Locked in for what’s next.

Entered to learn, departing to serve.🎓

To Sanayia Raye Allison,

From the moment we met, there was something about you I couldn’t ignore, something different, something special. As a transfer student at Winston-Salem State University, I came in with no clear direction, no map, just opportunity. And then there was you, you became my guide before I even realized I needed one.

I still remember our first laugh, the jokes just to see your smile, and that smile, effortless and radiant, made everything brighter. What started as friendship quickly became something deeper. Even through the small disagreements, your willingness to understand me and truly listen laid the foundation for everything we are today.

Somewhere along the way, I knew this wasn’t just friendship. I saw a future with you, and instead of running from it, I leaned in. We grew through that space together until October 2nd, 2024, the day I found the courage to ask you to be mine.

As I prepare to walk the stage and close this chapter, I can’t tell my story without you. You’ve been there through the growth, the pressure, the late nights, and the moments that shaped me into the man I am today. You didn’t just witness the journey, you helped build it.

I thank God every day for placing you in my life, because loving you has been one of my greatest blessings.

You are my compass when life feels uncertain, my peace in the middle of pressure, and my light after the darkest nights. You feel like home, not just a place, but a feeling I carry with me everywhere I go.

You’re the melody that stays with me long after the music fades, the kind of love people search for their whole lives. And somehow, I found that in you.

As I step into this next chapter, I know one thing for certain, I don’t just want success, I want it with you.

This isn’t just any HBCU love story, this MY ‘Ole State U Love Story🐏❤️. @wssu1892

“As we go forth from ‘Ole State U…”

In 14 days, I’ll be graduating from Winston-Salem State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science (Exercise Physiology). 🎓

Transferring to WSSU was more than a change of scenery, it was a defining chapter that sharpened my purpose, strengthened my character, and built my resilience. This university gave me more than an education; it gave me growth, community, and lifelong lessons. WSSU will forever hold a special place in my heart.

My journey didn’t start here, it began at East Tennessee State University where I first got a taste of involvement and leadership. That experience gave me a vision. When I arrived at WSSU, I came ready to find that same purpose, and over time, I didn’t just find it, I fully stepped into it. Both institutions played a role in shaping the man I am today.

To every friend, mentor, and supporter, thank you. Your presence, encouragement, and belief in me never went unnoticed. You all helped shape the man I am today, and I’m forever grateful.
