It is my biggest honor to swim with the gentle giants of Nusa Penida, the Manta Rays. 🖤

Bali tourism maintains the manta's independence so seeing them isn't always guaranteed. There were no mantas when we arrived at the diving spot, but after a few mins 3-4 manta rays graced us with their presence. Truly a sight to behold. 😭🙏🏼

This is definitely the Highlight of my Bali Trip! 🌊🧜🏼‍♂️

I don't know how I lasted about 30secs underwater while finning hard to get a video with the manta. But here's everything I learned freediving in Nusa Penida, Bali.

The water in Bali is very cold (atleast for me) so my body is tense and consumes a lot of oxygen. ❄️

There's not enough preparation because everything goes by fast.

-No time to relax for 2mins before going down because you will lose your chance.
-Mantas look graceful but they actually swim fast in person.
-Surface swells and currents in Bali beaches is no joke. Be prepared. 😮‍💨

A challenging but once in a lifetime magical experience. ✨
