funny how a lifetime can fit between 2 photos❤️‍🩹

looking at these two pics feels like flipping through chapters of a book i didn't realize i was writing.

one is a little girl who thought the world was endless, who climbed onto a horse without worrying about tomorrow and who believed growing up was just another adventure. she had no idea how much life would ask of her. she didn't know about the heartbreaks, the prayers whispered through tears, the people she'd lose, the ones she'd find or the countless versions of herself she had to become.

the other is me at 23. older, wiser and kinder, maybe. carrying dreams that grew heavier with time, yet carrying a heart that's learned more than i ever thought it would. life didn't turn out exactly the way that little girl imagined but maybe that's the beauty of it. every disappointment became a lesson, every goodbye made room for a new hello and every night that felt endless eventually gave way to another sunrise.

different place. different season. different versions of me – but the feeling is strangely familiar. its a reminder that even when life changes completely, pieces of who you once were never truly leave you.

one day you're the child in the first photo, and before you know it, you're looking back, wondering where all those years went. the nights changed. i changed. the world changed. but somehow, the little girl with big dreams still lives inside the woman i'm becoming.

if i could speak to her now, i'd simply tell her : keep going. you're going to make it through more than you can imagine. you'll grow into someone you're proud of. And oneday, you'll look back with gratitude instead of longing.

time never waits for anyone. it keeps moving quietly, gently – until one day you realize you've become the person your younger self was dreaming of all along.

some things never change, but everything does🫶🏻
