For a long time, birthdays were hard for me. They became a reminder of everything I thought would have happened by now. I spent so much time comparing my timeline to everyone else’s and quietly grieving what hadn’t come yet.

But this year, something shifted.

I realized I don’t have to have it all to experience joy. I don’t have to wait until life is perfect or all my prayers answered to celebrate it. There are still dreams in my heart. Still prayers I’m believing God for. But I’m learning that gratitude and hope can exist together.

So this year, I’m celebrating where I am while trusting God with where I’m going.

If you’re in a season that doesn’t look the way you imagined, don’t postpone your joy. Your story isn’t over.

Her 🫶🏾
Lord, I’m overwhelmed. As I celebrate another year of life 🎈I thank you for keeping me and sustaining me. I pray for your wisdom and guidance for this new year. May your grace and mercy follow me all the days of my life. May you expand my capacity and grant me divine favor. Continue to guide and shape my path, filling my days with wisdom, love, purpose and joy. Thank you Daddy 💕
