I thought I had uploaded all these photos but I, in fact, did not. More Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order there’s not much more to say my first post said a lot. But again this game was incredible and here is more of my favorite shots in the game. I will say that these photos are from later in the game where I was developing what style I wanted to go with in this game by how it was effecting me. by @khiernank

There really isn’t anything as relaxing as playing a video game and entering photo mode when I see a spectacular sight and spending hours creating the perfect picture.

I recently finished Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, a game that came out in 2019. Bought it when it was on sale and I’ve been on a Star Wars ADHD kick lately. What I didn’t expect was to take as many photos as I did. I tend to focus more on landscapes when it comes to games I tried more action photos this game but not happy enough to post them, I’ll just have to keep practicing.

These first 20 photos are from the first couple planets in the game: Bogana, Zeffo, Dathomir & Kashyyk. Some of these planets are green and vast fields, some dark and mountainous, so many different variations. Put that in a Star Wars universe with the lightsabers and the weird vehicles and buildings mixed with atmosphere of war. This creates such a unique photo taking experience because it’s not the real world. The first world stayed to brighter colors and a lighter mood but the more I played and the game effected my mindset and the world did I began more dark and gritty photos because I felt the game story and atmosphere changing my perspective.

Anyways, I feel like I rambled too much. I played this game for almost 24 hours straight because I just enjoyed it so much it made me feel like a kid again and I wanted to share my photos with you. Hope you enjoy!

Another batch of video game photos from @ghostoftushima still love this game and how beautiful it is.

I have now gone completely down the video game photo mode rabbit hole…

I bought deaths stranding (with the second one on its way.) it’s a cinematic movie with how beautiful it is and can’t wait to show the few photos I’ve captured already.

Then there’s Spider-Man 2 which is incredibly beautiful, and sometimes forget it’s a game. I can take pictures of New York without being there.

Taking my hobbies of photography and video games and combing them has been one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had in a while. Sometimes I don’t even wanna play the game, I just wanna take pictures.

I’ve been working more and more these past couple years honing my craft of video and photo. Lately it’s consumed my life balancing a full time job and multiple clients. I’ve never been good at work/life balance but this year I really wanted to change that so I set aside (for the most part) 2 hours a day to myself to relax and do what I want.

Playing video games

I gave up playing them for a couple years because I thought I had to in order to be successful in my career. Only recently have I started playing them again trying to find this balance.

I also always ignored the “Photo Mode” in games as well because I thought it was dumb for whatever reason, until this very special games game came out called @ghostoftushima by @suckerpunchprod which I played during the summer and it was the most beautiful game I’ve ever played and realized for the first time you can slow down and enjoy a game and even try out the photo mode. I’ve been craving photography again just for fun and this has taken my evenings and I couldn’t more happy.

Now taking photos is my favorite part of the game. These are some frames I captured during the summer and wanted to share them. I have started taking photos again recently and will continue to share them.

It would mean a lot if you could look through them. I think this game is truly gorgeous and want that to be seen.

The snow finally came and I hated every second of it.

I’m not a fan of snow at all. It’s cold, it’s wet, the light reflection gives me very intense migraines… it’s dangerous to drive on.

But as I’m looking outside now that it’s all gone I’m glad I worked up the discipline to go out and photograph it. I chose my grandmas waterfall as the water turns this gorgeous ice blue color and makes these fantastic shapes.

I do not like winter and snow but I do, however, like looking at the photos I forced myself to take so I could look back and realize maybe winter isn’t so bad after all…
