I knew this day would come from the moment I met you.
There was a fire in you, steady and bright, shining through your eyes in those early days when you worked job after job without ever losing your warmth. I had never seen a work ethic like yours.

I still remember you taking that first call for the DCI interview, tucked into the tiny bathroom of our one bedroom apartment. From that moment to this one, it has been a privilege to watch you climb, step by step, setback by setback, victory by victory, until you reached the summit you stand on today.

You have inspired me, our girls, and every person lucky enough to cross your path. The world tells us we must be ruthless to rise, but you have proven the opposite. You have built your success with kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness, and that is what makes you extraordinary.

In my eyes, you have always been at the top. Even now, at your peak, you keep searching for the next mountain, the next horizon. You are your own toughest critic, and maybe that is your superpower. But even superheroes have weaknesses, and yours, perhaps, is never pausing long enough to see how far you have come.

You have earned every mile of this journey. Becoming Vice President, the first in Canada and truly one of one, is nothing short of remarkable. The places you have traveled, the experiences you have gathered, the people you have touched, these are the marks you leave on the world, marks no one will ever forget.

Today begins a new chapter in your story, your modern day odyssey.
Keep shining, keep inspiring, keep being exactly who you are.

Congratulations, Mrs. Vice President 💙 by @khiryyy
