“Blessed is she who believed the Lord would fulfill His promise to her!” - Luke 1:45 Today I graduate from the illustrious Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. As I cross the stage, becoming Dr. Rivers, I look back on my 6 years and am forever grateful for every lesson learned, every dream accomplished, and every prayer answered. From the Hill to my heart. To the College of Love and Charity, These last 6 years may have not been perfect but they were everything I needed. My journey has been one of love, laughs, and amazing memories that I wouldn’t trade for the world. To the families I gained within the FAMUly: Housing Thank you for being my first family on the Hill. Y’all have truly changed my life and I can’t imagine what my journey would be like without y’all! Love y’all 5ever! #LLR #LLK F.Y.E Thank you for taking me when I needed y’all. From freshmen forums to unannounced campus tours I’ve truly learned so much from each and every one of y’all. It’s been a pleasure leading with you. ERU, Just Girls, Gangerz, Druggies, and Houstatlantavegas Y’all we’ve been through it 😂 but I can’t imagine going through it with anyone else but y’all. Thank y’all for being the bestest friends a girl could ask for. It’s forever up about each and every one of y’all! 😘 I can’t believe my FAMU story is coming to an end 🥹 FAMU Today, FAMU Tomorrow, FAMU forever T-7 days by @khloe.makeda
A dream that started in a hospital bed has finally become reality. 6 years ago I walked on campus thinking, “Pharmacy, how hard could it be?” and was very quickly humbled. But in that humbling I learned just how strong and determined I truly am. Class of 2026 we have grown so much from P1 year to now and I can’t wait to see how “The Anomaly” takes the world by storm. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for God, my family, and friends who were always right there whether I needed to cry from the stress or a sweet treat for the success. I am immensely grateful for all the support that has been given to me throughout the years. I can finally say that all the late night study sessions, energy drinks, and pre, during, and after exam prayers have been worth it. Dr. Rivers is officially signing in.
