Meet Kry (chef and owner) and Kabee (daughter and waitress), as well as 5 grandmas in the kitchen.

To celebrate their 2 year upcoming anniversary, Chef Kry agreed to an interview on camera to tell you about his fully renovated diner that was once abandoned. Movies have been filmed in this space as recently as last month.

I’ve lived in Atlanta for over 20 years, and every now and then you walk into a spot that feels like a completely different world. That was Khmer Bowl in Forest Park.

I saw that giant beef rib noodle bowl on my feed and drove from the gym in Tucker all the way down here… and the second I walked in, it felt like a Cambodian family party. Pure hospitality, pure culture, pure good vibes.

This diner has HISTORY — Baby Driver filmed here, @bertkreischer shot a special here — and you can feel it the moment you sit down.

But the food… the Katheiw bowl is officially my number one noodle bowl in Atlanta. The wings hit like the Chinese wings I grew up eating at Thai Jong in Augusta — RIP to a real one. Get the wings original, and get the Cambodian crack sauce (Prik Nam Pla). Pour it on everything.

Slots in the back. Karaoke on standby. Owner offered me shots at 2pm on a Wednesday. You can’t script this place.

Y’all got me together in the comments last time… so I came back saying @khmerbowl the right way.
And baby, those chicken curry noodles were EVERYTHING!
That broth was thick, rich, flavorful, and had me going back for bite after bite. Safe to say I’ll definitely be back.
