2 years of work, 15 months of production, 15 years of dreaming, and 130 people to celebrate.
I am grateful for the people in my life because without them, none of this would have been possible.
I wish I got more BTS. I will remember this feeling forever. Thank you.

Everyone saw it. Everyone heard it. And then everyone went back to the party.

Silence can be part of the violence.

Domestic violence often happens in plain sight - in front of friends, family, neighbors, and entire communities. Too often, the warning signs are witnessed, dismissed, normalized, or treated as something we shouldn’t interfere with.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we’re asking people to do more than notice. Check in. Speak up. Believe survivors. Learn the signs. Know when and how to safely intervene.

A huge thank you to Khon Studios for taking the initiative to create this powerful piece and using art to start a conversation that too many people are still afraid to have.

Crazy to think my short film made it to a film festival. Thank you @bengalifilmfestival for featuring me. Thank you to my cast and crew for the patience and commitment. Thank you to my friends who checked in and encouraged me to keep pushing. First time on the big screen, hopefully not my last. Thank you all.

A wonderful evening at @bengalifilmfestival
Thank you @bengalisofnewyork for putting on a wonderful show once again!

(Also throwback to the accidental hard launch incident at the 2nd film festival lolll) by @khon_studios

attended the 4th NYC film festival in a row, but this time I got to see myself in a film & be a panelist. 🥹

I’ve been challenging myself to say yes to opportunities that scare the living daylights out of me, while on the flip side, setting boundaries & saying no to things that don’t serve me or my wellbeing. It’s been a great journey so far. 🖤

the moment I heard a stranger in the audience gasp in this moment & say “I didn’t sign up for a scary movie” - made my niiiight LOL. but obv no one who actually knows me will find me scary bc I’m just a dweeb irl 😂

the cast & crew of Nishirdaak! missing a couple folks 🥲

@tawsifakber @koshikahmed @_shaniyat @fahim_o___o_ @amardigidiery

@suraiya_eas I am a just lucky gal stood by herrrr 🫶🏾

@itiseyeris tikkli (headpiece) & earrings 🕷️🕸️

@tbh.nuva is a brilliant filmmaker & I’m so so happy her documentary got shown the same day as ours. literally made choke up.

@ishqpradhan’s film made feel a lot of heavy emotions & made me THINK. that breathing exercise we did afterwards was needed.

@miloncafe - “aye, bua” was so wholesome & also made me choke up. 🥲

what an incredible group of creative women making things happennnnn.

unexpected core memory watching myself on the big screen!

@maishakabirr @lamisafkabir @suraiya_eas

makeup by @roseluxbeauty still obsessing over this entire look

this pic encapsulates the twang of sadness I knew I’d feel iykyk, but that’s all part of the human experience & nuance of everything

@itiseyeris went hard on the styling for this. can I look like this in desi wear all the time. by @khon_studios
