Life lately…
I've never cried so much in my life.

One of the biggest surprises of this season — realizing that even after God healed the deepest parts of my brokenness after divorce… somewhere deep down, I quietly believed that meant I shouldn't be sad anymore.

I'm learning saying yes to God is just the beginning. I thought obedience meant arriving at certainty, at strength. But lately God's been showing me that following Him often looks like being led into places that expose how insufficient I really am.

Maybe that's the point.

God is far less interested in changing my circumstances than He is in changing me.
Because even after the healing… I still needed Him for what was left behind. For the grief. For carrying responsibility while spiritually exhausted.

I've spent months like Peter after Jesus died.
Going back to fishing.
Searching for comfort in what feels familiar.
Resisting the solitude required for God to do deeper work.

I'm learning some prayers don't get answered through sudden rescue. They get answered through process. Discomfort. Waiting. Refining seasons that force us to know Him deeper than we ever would if He just gave us what we asked for right away.

Grief coats you. It changes the way you move. It makes you desperate to escape process — and process feels painfully slow when all you want is relief.
But I think I'm finally understanding something.
God is not just delivering me from pain.
He is delivering me from me.

Becoming whole in Christ was never about Him fixing us once. It's learning we'll need Him over and over — for every new layer of identity, every new step into calling.

Real transformation was never about becoming perfect.
It was always about becoming new.
I can honestly say this is one of the saddest seasons of my life.

The light others see in me right now — that's all God.

So lately, this has been my prayer:
I want joy here.
I want joy in the wilderness.
I want to see manna fall…
and genuinely have joy. by @khonesty_

I’ve learned that Motherhood is equal parts of “Thank you, Lord” and “ Help me, Jesus”

There’s a moment when God gives you a friendship that’s genuine and heals parts of you.

As women, I think we sometimes reserve deep connection, vulnerability, accountability, and partnership only for marriage. But some of the most healing, sanctifying, and life-giving love God will ever give us comes through genuine friendship.

There is something powerful about being fully seen by sisters who choose to believe the best about you. Women who sharpen you, challenge you, pray for you, hold you accountable, and remind you who you are in Christ when life gets heavy.

Friendship is not a lesser love.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Mother’s Day came early💫

C.S. Lewis said, “Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.” In the end, the legacy that matters won’t be what you built in the world. It will be who you raised and whether they felt safe, seen, and loved in your presence.

Divorced women are often criticized more than the men who broke covenant.

For a long time, I couldn’t understand why.

In Deuteronomy 24, men were divorcing wives by simply giving a certificate and sending them away. By the time of Moses, divorce had become socially normalized for men, even when God’s original design is covenant honor.

Later, when Jesus Christ addressed divorce, He exposed the REAL issue:

divorce permissions existed because of hardness of heart, not divine approval.

Jesus literally redirected accountability back to the one initiating abandonment, not the one left behind.

YET culturally — then and now — communities often revert to questioning the woman.

Many believers carry an unspoken belief:

“If you follow God correctly, your life outcomes will reflect it.”

My story — and many divorced women’s stories — disrupts that theology.

- you can pray and still be abandoned,
- you can honor covenant and still be left
- you can be faithful and still experience loss.

Rather than revising incomplete theology,(similar to Jobs friends) some people revise the woman’s testimony.

And it’s not always maliciously, most times it’s just spiritual immaturity.

💫 Here’s what brought me peace:

Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly positions Himself as defender of those who were:

- cast aside,
- wrongly accused,
- covenantally betrayed.

The spiritual irony is this:

The woman being questioned by people is often the one God is quietly vindicating.

Last week, when the accusations started I had just launched this page and a proud 35 followers. Now, the post I used to encourage myself God allowed to go viral. No hashtags, no fancy edits. Just flowers I bought my daughter and His Word. Now, over 500k views, 46k likes, and nearly 1,000 followers. The increase could’ve been through many other vehicles, but God knows me and I know Him.

I pray the divorced woman I’ve been Called to love on, find peace in this kind of Bridegroom.
