Today, my heart is filled with gratitude as I am recognized for 20 years of service with San Bernardino County Schools.
Looking back, I am proud of the person who had the courage to take that first step. Starting over in an unfamiliar country meant asking questions, learning from others, adapting to change, and moving forward even when I felt unsure of myself. With each passing year, I gained experience, grew in confidence, and discovered strengths I never knew I had.
I could not have imagined that my first permanent job in a foreign country would become such a lasting and meaningful chapter of my life. What once felt unfamiliar became a place where I could learn, contribute, build friendships, and grow—a part of my journey I will always treasure.
This milestone represents much more than the number of years I have worked. It reflects courage, growth, dedication, and finding my place in a country that was once new to me. Twenty years and counting, the journey continues with more to learn, more to give, and so much to be thankful for.
I am also deeply grateful to my husband, Mama, and my family here, whose love, patience, and encouragement have been a constant source of strength. Behind this achievement are countless everyday moments of balancing responsibilities, supporting one another, and building a life together. Sharing this milestone with them makes it all the more meaningful.
Thank you, San Bernardino County Schools, for recognizing my years of service and for being such an important part of my story. I celebrate this milestone with a full heart, pride in how far I have come, and appreciation for all that lies ahead. by @khrysabella

Standing on sacred ground at Pearl Harbor, I was reminded that this place is more than a historic site, it is a powerful tribute to courage, sacrifice, and resilience.
