Today marks one year since “music in the middle of nowhere.” by Heel Klick (their first album) was released:
Recorded, Produced, Mixed, and Mastered by @chasekrank at @flatwoundstudio

“Music in the middle of nowhere was written during my experiences with relationships, playing shows and learning how to be more open to my emotions while writing songs. This album is still so dear to me cause it showcases us finding out how we want to sound and things we like to create and shy away from. Music in the middle of nowhere is just the beggining to a lifelong journey. It’s been so special to play this album to all you guys and hear you all sing back words that mean so much to me and it’s been such a beautiful emotional experience I can’t wait to release our next album. It feels like as I’m writing these songs alongside my life we are growing together and using the music to cope together it means so much to me that you guys are able to relate and connect to me -CJ (of @heel.klick) 🫶 by @khujoo

Dogwood (EP) by Heel Klick
Recorded, Produced, Mixed, and Mastered by @chasekrank at @flatwoundstudio

“Dogwood is some of the first songs ever written for Heel Klick and they were a staple in our Walla Walla scene for a while until we slowly phased them out with the newer “music in the middle of nowhere” songs from our first album. Looking back at them is a crazy emotional experience for us seeing how far we’ve come as a band and just recognizing that these songs really have such an innocent feeling to them that means so much to us. Chase did such a great job capturing that feeling.”
- CJ (of @heel.klick) 🫶

P.S. from Chase the producer:
This is not Heel Klick’s first project. They did a “Live From Flatwound Studio” EP released back in May 2025 and their debut album “music in the middle of nowhere” released September 2025… my dumb ahh just forgot to make the posts about em💀💔but these guys truly rock and I’m so happy they do what they do. Go support them and listen to their new EP RIGHT NOW! by @khujoo
