about six months ago, i fell perfectly out of line.
i packed up my car, drove across the country and landed back in the green mountain state in pursuit of purchasing a market that was so special to me.
i took physical and emotional inventory over the course of two months and discovered that nothing about the experience was what i had envisioned and i wasn't ready to bury myself in responsibility no matter how beautiful and tempting it was.
i packed my car back up, kissed my sweet ones goodbye and drove right back to the west coast.
i landed in the loving embrace of my mom and my yoga community, which i'm ineffably grateful for.
i went through an intensive training and started working as a rossiter coach.
i started working with some of the most wonderful people at dry creek farm...
all of my dreams started to come true.
.
just the other day i accepted a job at our local apothecary.
the thought of sharing body work and plant medicine through the cozy months (and beyond) makes my heart absolutely burst.
just a few minutes ago i signed a lease to move back into my own cozy little place.
.
all this is to say... sometimes you need to come maddeningly close to a path that's not meant for you - to land right in the middle of the path that absolutely is.
take chances and trust the process and always always always show gratitude gratitude gratitude.
whether it's a whisper into the wind, written in your journal or an outward thank you along the way.

just one of the most precious ladies deep in her zucchini plants ~ nana ~ one of the toughest and most nurturing ladies i know...

we stood at her sliding glass door together, looking out over her backyard as a storm rolled in. we somberly reflected on the state of the planet together - feeling her deeply in our hearts. all of a sudden, a little hummingbird zipped up to the window and stood still to look at us for a minute. as it zipped away, nana said "i believe that's how God speaks to us sometimes."

its been absolutely beautiful & absolutely bonkers ~ as usual ~ the love of my life left for bootcamp yesterday in pursuit of joining the coastguard.

i'm absolutely proud of him for following his dreams to become an aviation mechanic and a pilot AND stepping into being a military wife is a funny curveball that no one saw coming.

i've been spending my days taking care of my body and mind while doing my best to stay present AND dreaming about what it might be like to be the mama on base that shares plant medicine and myofascial release with people in need.

dreaming about continuing to hold healing space for myself, my husband and our growing community. dreaming about how our home will feel. dreaming about our garden and how we might be able to lift others up with our combined skills in this next book of life. God only knows ~

feeling gratitude for the beauty and challenge that was Hawaii AND so grateful to be back in Idaho for a moment as we turn the page. by @ki.nd.ra
