Apparently there are 5k new people here!? Thank you and welcome 🥹🙋‍♀️💖 I suppose it’s time I reintroduce myself… I’m Kia, an author, illustrator and junk journaling addict! I’ve been journaling and calling it “journaling” for around 10 years, but if you count the years I didn’t really have a name for what I was doing, I guess you can say I’ve been journaling for closer to 20 years 😳 My goal is to not just to share journal ideas with you, but more generally to inspire you to be playful and have fun with your creative process. I’m a firm believer that we are all creative, we just need to play and experiment with different forms of expression until we find what feels right for us! 🥰 Things I do and places you can find me: ⭐️ I hand-make stickers and stationery you can find in my lil shoppe ⭐️ You can join my Creative Club via patrexon to receive handmade happy mail packages of creative journaling goodies from my heart and hands to yours every month! (As well as exclusive content, printables and creative challenges) ⭐️ I have a YT channel where I post journaling videos and sometimes vlogs - I have recently hit 5k subscribers there (THANK YOU!!) and I really want to make myself a cake to celebrate because that feels so special 🥹 ⭐️ I’m also an author and illustrator of 25 children’s puzzle & activity books across 4 different series published by @collins4parents called My Awesome Year, Puzzle Quest, Maze Quest and Puzzle Play. My latest book, Puzzle Quest: Summer Surprise, publishes on 5th June 🥳 ⭐️ I also love rollerskating, weekly cozy craft nights with the women of my family, PIZZA, and wildlife (I am a crazy bird lady who knows all the birds who visit my garden by name and some of them feed from my hand, which makes me feel like a Disney princess) 🪶 Any questions? Ask me! Thank you SO MUCH for being here 💖 every follow, interaction, like, share, comment, purchase of my stickers, watch of my videos, subscription to my creative club is a little action that supports me in continuing to live my dream as a full time creator, and I’m more grateful for you than you could ever know 🥹 Love, Kia 💕 #meettheartist #junkjournaling #creativesofinstagram by @kia.creates

Leave the leaves! 🍂 A blanket of fallen autumn leaf litter provides a buffet of natural food for birds and hedgehogs, it insulates the soil and decomposes giving nutrients back to the earth, and it provides shelter & protection for hibernating insects and animals! It’s sooo much easier and better for everybody to let the leaves do their thing, no need to tidy up 🍁 This is another spread I made for the prompt ‘falling leaves’ using artwork from the October issue of @simplethingsmag 🦔 #halloweenjournalchallenge #leavetheleaves #hedgehoglover #naturejournal #journaling by @kia.creates

for the prompt “falling leaves” I had fun ‘harvesting’ images and quotes I liked from the October issue of my fave magazine @simplethingsmag 🍂 I love how autumnal this feels! 🍁 I also made another spread for this prompt too, in the same way - I’ll share that next 🥰 Swipe to see how the spread looked before the finishing touches (I’m learning to leave more space on the pages and actually enjoying it!) 🧡 #halloweenjournalchallenge #journaling #autumnart #collagejournal by @kia.creates

Our prompt today is ‘Cozy crafts’ for #HalloweenJournalChallenge so I made a journal spread about the willow wreath weaving workshop I recently attended! It felt like a truly autumnal day 🥹🍂🍁 You can watch the journal with me video out now on my YT channel: Kia Creates! 🥳 I chose the randomizer ‘framed’ and turned this spread into a gallery wall style page 🖼️ (Btw, I made the illustrated autumn wreath I drew for this spread into a lil printable you can now get from the digital tier of my Creative club 🧡) Thank you to @thewashitapeshop for the gorgeous autumnal washi tapes I featured in this video/spread, and thank you to @monkandsmuggler and @witham_willow_lincoln for hosting such a cozy autumnal craft workshop! 🥰 #journalwithme #autumnvibes #journaling #cozycrafts by @kia.creates

October begins 🍁 1-4: Here is the handmade journal I created to use for #HalloweenJournalChallenge this year! 5-6: The inked paper pages I painted to use as backgrounds in the journal (I also shared free scans of them all over on my Creative Club so you can print/use them too!) 🧡 7: In case you missed it, I shared a video of me painting the inky pages, sewing them into a journal and decorating the cover with stickers! 8-9: The sticker sheets I used to decorate the journal cover! Maybe some of my fave I have made?? 🎃🎃🎃 10: The HJC zines!!! If you have ordered a physical copy, it is now shipped! 💌 I had 2 more copies than I thought so I’ve just popped them onto my sh0p 🧡 digital download version available on my Creative Club! I’m already LOVING seeing your amazing spreads for the first couple of prompts! So much inspo eeeek 😍🎃🧡 🖋️ For the painted pages I used lovely inks kindly gifted to me by @ferriswheelpress including the shades: Vintage Valet, Embers of Time, Eightfold Fortune, Browned & Buttered & Timeworn Treasures #ferriswheelpress #HalloweenJournalChallenge2026 #journaling #stickers by @kia.creates

Restocked! 🎃 Last October I made these Medieval Halloween sticker kits for my Creative Club members. To celebrate the coming spooky season I’ve just made & added a handful more to my 𝕰𝖙𝖘𝖞 𝖘𝖍𝖔𝖕!

You can choose the option to get the full kit, or just the Medieval Pumpkins & Turnips sticker sheet if that’s what you’ve fallen in love with 🤩🧡 P.S thank you so much for your patience with me while waiting for updates on the HJC Zine & Creative Collab calendar, everything is a bit behind schedule because I’ve had the worst stomach flu this week and I’m still not feeling good - doing my very best, but this has been a spooooooky few days in the worst way 💀 #medievalart #halloweenstickers #mailclub #pumpkinseason #halloweenjournalchallenge by @kia.creates

Pigeon appreciation post!!! 🐦🪶 I can’t help but create journal pages & sticker designs about the things (and creatures) that I love 🥹 So here’s a post showing off my pigeon junk journal spread + some of the many pigeons in my camera roll + the 3 sticker sheets I’ve made that feature pigeons: 🪶 Feathered friends 🪶 Love the unloved 🪶 Pigeon lover + my brand new “I love pigeons” art print 💖 all available now in my 3tsy sh0p: KiaMakes 🥳 The journal pages also feature lots of lovely pigeon stickers created by @inestheunicorn and @birdhousepress (gifted to me for my birthday by the lovely @lauryporfavor - thank you!!) And if you zoom in you can see at the top and bottom of the pages an amazing “Pigeons doing yoga” washi tape by @thesillycatstudio that I (very excitedly) purchased at @stationeryfest 💖 #pigeonsofinstagram #ilovepigeons #lovetheunloved #pigeonstickers #junkjournaling by @kia.creates

I’m so excited to tell you about a very exciting collaboration I’ve been working on for @ptes_org :The Trundle Collection!! 🥳🦔 People’s Trust for Endangered Species is an international conservation charity, working to protect animals and their habitats, with lots of their work focusing on educating people on how to help hedgehogs in their local area - which I’m really passionate about! For transparency, I didn’t receive any payment for this design - I simply did it for the love of the hoggies! Every purchase helps support PTES’ work protecting hedgehogs, other wildlife and the places they call home. I’m so proud that I can use my art to help wildlife in this way 🥰 The collection is named after Trundle, the sweet hedgehog who has been visiting my wildlife garden 🥹 I created an original ink painting inspired by him, and photographed it to capture the golden metallic flecks in the ink catching the light, then created a journal-style collage for the background! This design is available now on T-shirts, notebooks, bottles, mugs and other fun items via the PTES Teemill store: if you have your eye on anything in the collection, l’d recommend purchasing this weekend, as there will be FREE SHIPPING all weekend (no code needed!) to celebrate the official launch of the Trundle collection 🎉 As you can see, I had SOOO much fun decorating my Trundle notebook with the hedgehog sticker sheet I’ve just added to my Etsy sh0p along with a brand NEW collection of other wildlife designs including frogs, cranes and pigeon stickers! 🤩 I’ve also been looking after orphaned hedgehogs at home as part of my volunteer work with @thebwrc - a small local wildlife rescue where all us volunteers have been working tirelessly to rehabilitate as many hedgehogs as possible during relentless heatwaves. If you’d like another way to help the hogs, please consider donating to the BWRC!! It would mean a lot to me as it is a cause very close to my heart 🤎 Whether you’re shopping the PTES Trundle collection, donating to BWRC, ordering my stickers, or simply supporting my art - thank you for helping me help the hogs!🦔 #hedgehogs #wildliferescue #hedgehogart #stickerlover #hedgehoglover by @kia.creates
