In one of the busiest and fastest-paced cities in the world, God is teaching me what it means to be still.

As I sit in this park, there is so much beauty to be seen in the way people linger. Kids are playing freely and adults are laughing in conversation. But there are still many who miss it all. They rush through, they stare down at their phones, or they care more about the photos than actually experiencing the beauty right before their eyes.

It’s so interesting to move at the speed of everyone else in the city. Moving so quickly leaves little room to experience what it means to truly be alive. God often speaks in the quiet, in the silence. If our eyes are only ever focused on what is right in front of us, we fail to look up and look for God. We have to leave room for Him to invade. That’s not possible when we rush through every moment. It’s easy to fall into the trap of how fast this world moves, but we’re missing the whole point if we aren’t constantly inviting God in. God is all around you, but is your speed of life preventing you from truly seeing Him? Just start lingering a little more so you can gaze on Him and wait to see how His presence can change everything. taken in Paris, France by @kianaggiunta
