Post show come down❣️I’m exhausted, dancing in my bedroom kind of happy, knowing well I couldn’t have done it by myself and trying to hold onto this deep feeling of gratitude.
I’m thinking about passion, purpose, endurance.
I’m reminded that everything informs my practice, and my creativity only kicked into high gear (the way I wanted) when the rest of my life started to move in unexpected ways.
Everyday this year I wrote, “I am an artist, I am creative” and I asked myself “So what the fuck are you gonna do with it? You gonna let them all know?”
So now you know.
When I got the random ass 2-show slot in the afternoon I was like…cool cool who the hell is gonna come to that but y’all did! ❣️ People I’ve never met or haven’t loved on in years or know and love deeply and I’m forever so happy and honoured.
Process. Mmm. That was the gooooood stuff-especially early on in the Toronto days, things were revealing each day and it was such a relief to find and live in that.
I love myself more because I love my craft more, because there are people who are passionate and who have the generosity to share their passion with me too. Do you even know how CLEVER and TALENTED they are?! Chantelle. Tiffany. Kalila. Stephanie. Emma. They really had my back to say the fucking least. This TEAM!!??!! ❤️
I’ve been thinking about triumph, championship, what it means to epically overcome challenge after challenge to come out better, stronger. I knew I wrote a hero’s journey, but it was a ride to act out.
I’ve been thinking lots and lots about acting school days - “look up” or “is it justified” or “there’s too many actors in the world, so you need to make sure there’s nothing else you can do”… and I am sure.
Thank you so much for all the support you’ve given me the last month, it’s everything to me ❤️‍🔥 (and for indulging me now teehee) by @kianaw
