Well there was no PB today, but given how badly training went and the fact I was still running with a dodgy ankle (ignore the @rocktape_uk knee strapping, that’s purely precautionary) I’ll take a 3ish hour half marathon.

I thankfully had lovely company (thank you @_gem.hancock and Bex) so it was way more fun than last year’s full marathon 🥰

@bloodcancer_uk it was such a pleasure running for you, thank you for my spot. I look forward to raising even more for you now I’ve done the run 🥰
@kyloeinthewild your glasses excelled again and didn’t slip or rub at all (they were worn the whole way round and were the only bit of kit I didn’t adjust!) Keep on doing what you do because you’re bloody brilliant! taken in Royal Parks Half Marathon-London by @kiandhemi

Day Two Inktober 2026. Prompt: Relic
Note to self: ballpoint pens you got free at a work convention are probably not the best things to draw with. They also smudge quite badly🙈
On the plus side, I rediscovered my drawing book that’s been kicking around since the early 90’s so a least the paper’s better than yesterday

Delayed posting because I’m not happy with it. But then decided I wasn’t going to redo it and I should just post anyway. Note to self: the rules state you can pencil draw first, that probably would’ve been a good idea 🤣🙈

I have arrived at the Heysham ferry port and am now waiting to embark the Ben-My-Chree to the Isle of Man to help @joanne_animal_communicator say her farewells to the island before relocating her with Mhyah and Ziggi to their new home back on English soil 🥰 by @kiandhemi

Final day before we travel back to Suffolk tomorrow and we skipped over the border into Scotland for the afternoon. @heatherslawlightrailway for the first train to Etal Castle and back, @thehirselestate for a lovely walk to see their Highland Coos and grab a spot of lunch (great day out for all the family & serious value for money), on to @historicscotland Melrose Abbey to look for the bagpiping pig and get some training in for the @rnli Tower Run next month (74 spiral steps to the top of the bell tower!). Fantastic day out at the @suffolkhorse Suffolk Horse Spectacular. Highlights were the Cops & Robbers themed fancy dress competition and the Suffolk Punch gymkhana games!
