How youth organisations walk through Parliament… 👀

Colleen had an amazing afternoon yesterday, meeting, talking and advocating for the importance of the arts in the lives of young people. 🎶

We can’t say too much just yet, but we’re very glad Boury has a seat at this table.

And frankly, she looks a little TOO at home there… 😂👀

To Nzinga and Maren,

What you’ve created with HopefulMESS feels deeply needed and right on time.

In a world that too often strips people of their agency, you are choosing to return it … gently, intentionally and with real care. That’s not easy work. It takes courage to stand in that space and say: people deserve to feel whole, powerful and seen on their own terms.

The way you centre humanity in your practice- not systems, not tick boxes, but people; is what will set this apart. You’re not just delivering workshops, you’re shifting mindsets, restoring confidence, and reminding communities of something they should never have lost in the first place.

There’s something powerful about the name HopefulMESS too. It doesn’t feel passive! It feels active, like a choice, like a practice. And that’s exactly what you’re offering.

You both lead with such integrity, depth, and heart. This work will land where it needs to, and it will matter, more than you probably even realise yet.

Proud of you both. Truly. by @kiddmama_

Two Boury boys.
Two West End stages.
Right next door.

One in Oliver!.
One in Les Misérables.

We always knew.
But still… look how far we’ve come.

As the year comes to a close, I’m curious… What rituals are you using to release and reset before the New Year?

For me, it’s lighting a candle, cleansing my space with sage, grounding with palo santo- small, intentional moments that really matter. I’ve been using my sister’s new range @mabhu.london and it’s become part of my own reset.

I’d love to know what rituals you’re holding as we step into the New Year. #NewYearRituals

Shine your LIGHT baby girl ✨

Words don’t quite stretch far enough to describe the pride I felt watching my beautiful daughter perform at the Night with Flawless showcase. Seeing long-time friends of mine teaching her, and watching her flourish under the care of true industry OGs, felt like a blessing and a full-circle moment all at once.

I’ve always tried to be gentle with my girls — supportive, never pushing a path, just honouring what the arts can offer them. Watching Tai up there, having found new friends and a place she genuinely calls home, all through her own choices, made my heart burst.

Dance is in your blood, baby. I’m right here, backing you in whatever way you need.

And listen… she absolutely KILLED IT 🖤🔥

Thank you to @novareidofficial for your beautiful display of recognition early! #weseeyoucynthia

Wanted to share this message I sent @cynthiaerivo earlier after attending the private screening last Sunday. X

Dear Cynthia,

Today, I had the immense honour of attending the private screening of Wicked, and I’m still in awe. One word comes to mind: GOAT. You moved me to tears—truly, you are the greatest of all time.

The depth, the nuances, the layers you brought to Elphaba were nothing short of extraordinary. You gave us a performance that was so profoundly truthful, so raw, that it completely redefined a character we thought we knew. You made her human in a way that was both breathtaking and heartbreaking.

I’ve never seen artistry delivered with such grace and conviction. It felt as though every word, every note, every moment was alive with intention and purpose. You didn’t just play the role—you lived it, and in doing so, you gave us the gift of seeing this story through entirely new eyes.

Thank you for inviting us to witness such a historic moment in your journey. It’s a memory I will treasure forever. You don’t just perform—you serve, you heal, you inspire. The world is so much brighter because of you, and we are endlessly grateful for your brilliance.

With all my love and admiration,
Colleen by @kiddmama_
