I’ve begun to make peace with the idea that no configuration of stardust will result in you again, so I treat it as a privilege to have witnessed you while I could. You inspired many to their purpose, as stubborn as they may have been, and held fast to your own. The abacus of spirit left you well in the black, and only in having lived my own life a bit more can I respect the gamestate you left your world in. Remembrance takes on greater dimension with time, greater call for ritual. While at once I could hold the grief within, now it’s time to kneed it into the world. Rough early years in Memphis, Chicago, Long Island. All made your own when you took that fateful jaunt into the city to chase your dreams as an actress. It’s surely not that simple, and I’m grateful to you for sparing few details. The barriers softened by the torrential force of your will, you would be happy to know have fallen away. Happy Birthday. by @kidfromperry
