Today is the day - #Swapped is now out on #Netflix !!

Thank you @nathangreno for Directing this heart felt story and for checking out my development test work for the Fire Wolf character. His final look and reveal in the movie is🔥🔥🔥

Thank you Albert Cunill, Julen Santiago, and Chip Lotierzo for having me on the Animation crew. Getting to live and work in Spain was an incredible experience. During this time I got to reconnect with and go on a bunch of adventures around the country with the Spanish side of my family all while animating on a heart felt story about empathy and connection.

Thank you Xavier G, Susana Murcia, Mireia Alvarez Corominola, and everyone else in the Mobility, HR, and Talent Acquisition teams for helping make all the moving and paperwork logistics happen smoothly. You guys rock and I'm eternally grateful!

Following up with my previous personal project post, here's a few workflow process videos highlighting some key reference takes I used throughout my time working on the shot.

I really wanted to challenge myself with this shot and make sure the Ukulele performance and singing was emotionally authentic and technically sound. Doing multiple reference takes with my wife @renmiddlebrook for the emotional singing performance combined with video reference of my Mom @maiercircus (actually playing the notes from the audio I sent her) I now had a pretty solid place to base Aisha's performance on.

I'm a big advocate for shooting multiple takes of reference and while always trying to get all the juice in one master take, often times have to Frankenstein together multiple takes to make things all gel the way I want.

You might notice in the last video - the Animation notes I left for myself while blocking say "r3". That's because it wasn't until Round 3 of considering and filming different ways to act out the performance that I started landing on things I felt worked well in comparison to previous rounds and their corresponding takes. by @kidmaier

Hey everyone! Here's a recent personal shot I've been working on for a little bit.
