There’s also a toddler play zone, sensory room and nursing room. $15 for ages 3+. 🛝 Kids Empire Zona Rosa — The THIRD KC metro location is now open in the Northland! Huge play structures, fast slides, climbing, a toddler zone + ride-on cars for an additional cost. AD | Putting a @summitsubaru Subaru Ascent to the family-of-five test! Three kids, car seats, a stroller, a day at the pumpkin patch…and of course, we came home with pumpkins AND a famous Johnson Farms giant mum. I partnered with @summitsubaru to take the Ascent along for one of our favorite kinds of fall days at the pumpkin patch, and I was genuinely curious how it would work for our family of five. Safe to say, we put that cargo space to good use! I love when a partnership lets me show you something the same way we’d actually use it as a family. Being in two completely different stages of motherhood at the exact same time can feel like a LOT. I have a one-year-old who still needs me for most everything. I’m packing diapers, cutting up food, planning around naps, carrying him everywhere and watching him discover the world for the first time. And at the same time, I’m watching my big kids need me a little less. They’re getting themselves ready. Reading on their own. Running ahead instead of always reaching for my hand. Becoming these independent little people right in front of me. 🥹 It’s such a strange place to be in motherhood, but a season I will look back on and wish for another day. Plus, it’s one of those spots where I have so many core fall memories with my kids, that I can’t miss out on participating. Faulkner’s Ranch feels like one big fall party, and it’s one of our family’s favorites because there’s something for all three of my kids. The big kids love the mega slide, pedal carts, zip-line, mechanical bull, and jumping pillow. My youngest is perfectly happy with a toy truck in the corn crib. Resharing this because it’s the perfect fall birthday party! There are many nature centers around the Kansas City area and they can be such great options for an affordable birthday party, especially if you’ve got a nature or animal lover! 🌿 We booked the Prairie Oak Nature Center in Leawood, KS (inside Ironwoods Park) and it was so peaceful. Even though it’s small, we had it all to ourselves! The staff were incredible - they led the activities and handled everything so I could actually relax and watch the kids have fun. Cost breakdown 💰 🍁2-hour private rental 🍁1.5-hour program + 30 mins for cake & gifts 🍁Up to 12 kids (add up to 4 more for $10 each) 🍁Includes craft, indoor or outdoor scavenger hunt, and goodie bag $225 (Leawood residents) / $250 (nonresidents) ✨ Adults don’t count toward the kid max — so family can join too! It felt affordable for how easy it made the day. No decorations, no cleanup, no stress.
