Still crossing items off the top of our teenage bucket lists. This one might mean the most 😭. I remember seeing Chad Hugo on TV when I was 13 and feeling like my brain became fully conscious lol. It was the first time I’d seen someone who looked like me doing the coolest shit I had ever seen or heard. From that moment, I was obsessed with The Neptunes. Then N.E.R.D. came around, and that was it. Chad Hugo was officially the coolest Asian/Filipino man to ever walk the planet. Discovering Chad as kids single-handedly put us on a path toward creativity, individuality, and self-expression. Honestly, I don’t know what our lives would have looked like without him. So, we made a book. We’re excited to finally share something that we spent the last year putting together - God Bless Toronto. Available for pre order at godblesstoronto.com with 4 unique inside covers to choose from. This book is a visual retrospective of the last 10 years of Kid. Studio; stills, BTS photos, storyboards, from the music videos, commercials, short films, and photoshoots that shaped our journey. Ideas that made it to the screen and some that never did. A more in-depth look at the work, the process, the lifestyle, and the city that shaped us. Compiling a decade’s worth of work and memories made us reflect on how far we’ve come, the people we’ve met, and the community that made it all possible. To everyone who’s been part of this in any way; our collaborators, supporters, friends, and family; we’re not sure what this all means, but we know it wouldn’t mean the same without you.
