POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
PODCAST LINK IN BIO: I recently had the absolute and unexpected honor to sit down with Mr. Michael Hingson as the guest speaker on his podcast, “Unstoppable Mindset.” Despite being born completely blind, Michael completed his masters degree in physics, survived the attack of the World Trade Center on 9/11, is a renowned keynote speaker, the Chief Vision Officer at his company, AccessiBe, and he has written numerous best-selling books.

I talked with him about the incredible power of positive adaptability, how it has helped empower my own miraculous recovery, how it has helped me adapt to having only one working eye, and, ultimately, how it has been a vital ingredient throughout my entire life. We talk past, present, and future endeavors, TiKi Design, and the book that I plan to publish by 2026, “Positive Adaptability: Get in GEAR.”

Have a listen, and follow his incredible podcast. There are so many remarkable stories (far more impressive than mine) that Michael brings to life in a special way that only he can. Thank you Michael Hingson for the time, company, and most of all, the inspiration you provide to me and so many others.

You can catch the full episode on Apple Podcasts/iTunes at: https://apple.co/3v0vWsn or on his page at https://lnkd.in/diFZSEmr

*TW: Graphic injury, hospitals, general human despair*

I promise there’s a happy ending, but we couldn’t recap our 2022 without including the one event that heavily influenced the majority of our year. Kiefer’s accident was one year ago on January 14, so that felt like the right day to start and end our year recap.

It’s amazing to look back and remember not knowing what would happen this year and then to see the outcome. We truly just feel so grateful things turned out okay.

Thank you 2022 for keeping us on our toes, but 2023 we’re definitely ready for you and a fresh start!

Thanks for watching. 💛 by @kieferjones

Happy 250th, America. It was surreal to be invited to celebrate you from the parade field of the Pentagon with my family and great friends.

No other country has accomplished what we have in 250 years. I’ve lived in 2 other countries, speak 2 other languages, have travelled to more than 30, and every cultural experience has taught me that no one is perfect, and it is everyone’s first time on earth.

I will always be believe in and be hopeful for America’s future, and I know that together, most will try to leave it better than we found it. When a few make messes, we will roll up our sleeves, clean them up, and move forward to a new and better era together.

America isn’t perfect. No country is perfect. Perfection is intentionally unachievable because perfection is a continuously moving goal post.

But as long as we stay curious, kind, hardworking, and helpful, I believe we can continue to create today’s “wonderful” in pursuit of tomorrow’s “perfect.”

I hope we can all reflect on what this 250 year mark means to us and find ways to fondly celebrate our country, not our president, and our existence. It was America’s birthday, and no American should feel robbed of an opportunity to celebrate her. 🇺🇸🗽

Happy 250th birthday to you- thank you for everything. by @kieferjones

Back from a wonderful and unplugged vacation in Cancún. It was unexplainable nice to travel with rest and relaxation at the center of intention for the first time in our lives. We stayed in a beautiful palace that made sure we wanted for nothing, ate and drank more than our fill, danced the night away, set few alarms, searched for whale sharks, snorkeled in coral reef, explored Mayan temples while learning so much from a local Mayan guide, and we swam through the beautiful waterfalls of a nearby cenote.

@tinekirby will have the better photos and videos, but here is a quick highlight reel from me. 10/10 trip that taught us many things and continues to make us so grateful for this grand life, love, and learning that we have made and get to experience together. taken in Cancún, México by @kieferjones

From the trailer to the Pentagon…

Those who know me well know that I was raised by a single mother of three boys, and our family was no stranger to hardship. We adapted for survival constantly. Several times, we were homeless on paper, carried forward only by the grace, generosity, and love of each other, friends, and family.

By the time I graduated high school, I had lived in or stayed in more homes than I had years of life.

So to now find myself sitting in the Pentagon, advising senior leaders and helping them pursue better outcomes for our country, is difficult to fully put into words.

It often feels unreal. It feels remarkable. And more than anything, it feels humbling.

Each day I am reminded of all the people who helped me get here. I am deeply grateful for this experience and for the opportunity to serve others. I will continue to show up every day with gratitude, humility, and the determination to do the work well while always remembering where I came from and the importance of the challenges that made me the man I get to be today.

I closed a chapter with my previous company and retired my Air Force account. It was an absolutely incredible era looking back, but the end of one chapter usually means the start of a new one, and this next one is going to be incredibly exciting.

Yesterday, I began an impactful new journey- taking on the role of a Senior Agile Consultant supporting Scrum Inc. on an important mission.

If you know me at work, you’ll likely recognize this red book because I’ve either lended it to you or often referenced it. To be standing in the DC headquarters, working alongside the brilliant organization who literally “wrote the book” on Scrum, directly contributed to the Agile Manifesto, and have changed and are changing the way the world works is one of the greatest honors of my life.

Before I had ever heard of Scrum or Agile through the PRINCE2, PMP, or my degree, I’d always made the promise to leave people, places, teams, and organizations better than I found them. Scrum gave much of what I was doing a name, a system, and in many ways, it has given me a home and a safe space to validate what I believe in: by designing impactful work, we can unlock purpose that ignites innovation unlike anything else.

If you, your team, your portfolio, or your business want to know how to truly be agile or need help getting there, I’d love to help be a bridge to connect you to this organization.

I am so looking forward to this growth chapter, the impact we’ll make together, and to hear how Scrum Inc. can help you to become even greater, faster, and more innovative than ever. I am overwhelmed with gratitude 🙏🏼 by @kieferjones

So grateful for a 3rd annual ski trip since moving to America! Destination: Crested Butte, CO.

Wonderful people in a wonderful place with wonderful weather 🙌🏼 The mountain offers lots to do for a weekend with lots of back mountain extreme terrain and off piste options. Stunning views at every turn.

This mountain falls 3rd for me after Vail, CO and then Whistler, Canada. Would recommend to a friend if they’ve never been 👍🏼 taken in Crested Butte, Colorado by @kieferjones

Leave each year better than you were the year before.

2025 is hard to say goodbye to- it was a year of explosive growth, immense gratitude, love, life, and loss. Looking back, I know that my year has been a remarkable one, and I am so grateful for the fairytale that we have worked immensely hard to transform our lives into.

I am so proud of myself, I am so proud of you, and I am so proud of us, @tinekirby. Life has been the greatest adventure with you, and we still have so much to give, to do, and to experience. Thank you to our family and friends, old and new, who have been the glue that links every magical memory.

I’m not sad that it’s over; I’m happy it happened. Thank you, 2025, and welcome, 2026. by @kieferjones

Happy New Year to all!

Choosing 20 photos/videos that cover a 4 day trip in Scotland to ring in 2026 is impossible 😅 I’ll be posting the day by day on Facebook.

Edinburgh is a dream on its own- it is home of the most magical old town I’ve ever experienced, and it oozes with all the real inspiration that fueled JK Rowling’s Harry Potter. We saw the cafe she wrote the book in (rebuilt as it burnt down), the actual school that inspired Hogwarts, the alley that inspired Diagon Alley, the beautiful bridge taken by the Hogwart’s Express in the films, and the grave of the very real Thomas Riddell (whose tomb inspired the name for Tom Riddle).

As for the new year, “Hogmanay” is a multi-day new year celebration, and it brings the city to life each year with feasting, festivities, and 50,000 people yielding torches and marching through the cobblestone surrounding the castles and old town.

During our time, we partook in a tour of the Highlands that continued to deliver as we witnessed some of the most beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and natural masterpieces- all guided by a prideful Scotsman who was eloquent and inspiring in his storytelling of William Wallace and rich Scottish history.

The country, the warm company, and the culture of Scotland were delightful. Each experience felt deep and genuine- from the greatest whiskey tasting we’ve ever had to stunning landscape tours- I felt energized by it all.

It was a truly remarkable way to put a bow on 2025 and welcome 2026. Recap and reflection of 2025 post to come- there was just too much Scotland that deserved its own place in my social archives. taken in Victoria Street, Edinburgh by @kieferjones

My mom, her husband, and my brother visited us for the weekend. My lack of group photos remind me that we spent more time laughing and talking instead of taking pictures.

To me, that’s a positive sign of a great trip. Thank you so much for hosting us last week and for joining us this week. We will miss the sound of conversation and late night laughs filling our home. We love you and are happy you all made the drive home safely to Ohio 🏡 by @kieferjones
