POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As an artist and illustrator, I have always been deeply passionate about creating a basketball court that is bursting with vibrant shapes and colors. My artistic journey began as a response to evolving basketball aspirations, where I merged contemporary minimalism with basketball themes. Influenced by Filipino art and street culture, my work draws inspiration from various sources, particularly admiring painted basketball courts worldwide for their simple yet profound approach.

Motivated by my love for both art and basketball, the designs reflect the interpretation of these two realms, embodying the relentless spirit and cultural significance of Filipino basketball. My aim is to perpetuate the love for basketball by incorporating local patterns and elements to inspire future generations.

“Motion of Emotions” is a vibrant basketball court design that captures the dynamism and energy of the game through the interpretation of traditional Philippine pattern designs from the viewpoint of a passionate basketball enthusiast. The project reimagines essential aspects of basketball as colorful, dynamic shapes, creating a distinctive and culturally rich sports environment. The goal is to transform a standard basketball court into a captivating visual experience that celebrates the sport while paying homage to Filipino heritage through vivid colors and dynamic patterns. Lastly, the design of the court seeks to resonate deeply with the local basketball community.

Thank you so much to @hennessy ‘s global CSR initiative, “In The Paint” for bringing in local basketball communities all over the world and supporting emerging artists like me to have such a rare opportunity to revitalize one of the best basketball spots in Manila.

I'm soooo stoked to announce my biggest recent collaborative piece so far with @nike to unveil the Manila's newest basketball courts, situated in the middle of BGC. The courts proudly serve as a safe haven for every passionate baller to practice and improve their game.

The design of the courtyard is inspired by a mix of energetic Filipino festivities, colorful tapestry patterns, and the vibrancy of the basketball community in the Philippines. It's been blood, sweat, and tears, but I’m so happy to finally get to see this huge space go live after nearly half a year of hard work, making it one of the best basketball courts in the heart of @bonifacioglobalcity. I really appreciate Nike for giving me the full freedom to express my creativity on this; it's every artist's dream to have such independence to get the artwork done.

The Courtyard is open to all Nike members. See you on
court and bring your A-game.💥🏀

NBA DREAMS DO COME TRUE. 🇵🇭🏀

Eternally grateful for the opportunity my brother @kayocosio for believing in my art. Never would’ve thought that I will see myself working for a project for NBA, not just NBA, but for @nba x @hennessy as a local creative lead! This man gave me the opportunity and did a lot of hard work just to make everything happen. So thank you and to the whole Honeycomb arts team, for making this vision a reality. 🙏🏾

Man, I made it to the NBA but on a different path! God works in wonders. 🙌🏾

Inspired by the rhythm of the game and the everyday movement of Manila through public transportation, the piece brings these two worlds together.

In basketball, there’s always another play, another move, another chance. On the streets of Manila, there’s always another ride, another stop, another destination.

SALANG is about that constant movement.

Onto the next one.

8 YEARS. 8 CHAMPIONS.

Blessed to witness 8 different champions in 8 different years.

Growing up as an NBA fan, this is something I never take for granted. Every season brought a different story, a different city celebrating, and a different group of players reaching the top of the mountain.

From dynasty runs to first-time champions, we’ve witnessed some of the most memorable moments in basketball history. A reminder that every season starts with hope, but only one team gets to hold the trophy at the end.

That’s what makes this game beautiful.

THE KNICKS ARE BACK.
Celebrating the Knicks’ playoff run this season. 🗽🏀

As a lifelong basketball fan, it’s surreal to see my 2023 Jalen Brunson piece included in this lineup. Moments like these always remind me of the kid who used to draw NBA players for fun, never imagining that one day his artwork would be displayed alongside artists from around the world — I’m living out dreams that started with a pencil, a sketchbook, and a love for basketball.

I am grateful to @moments_gallery_nyc for the opportunity and for bringing all of us together through hoops and art.

And a big S/Os to all the talented artists from the different parts of the world who are part of this exhibit. Just a kid from Manila to NYC!

The exhibit is now open at @dreamdowntown in New York City. If you’re around, go check it out! 🏀🍎🗽 by @kiefsix

WHERE FREEDOM PLAYS 🇵🇭

The sport has shaped a huge part of my life. I grew up playing with my brothers and friends, spending countless hours on the court competing, learning, and pushing each other to be better. Looking back, those games gave me more than just good memories — they taught me discipline, toughness, and many of the values that helped shape the man I am today.

For this Independence Day artwork, I illustrated these players with Filipino heritage through a local perspective. Growing up in the Philippines, basketball was always more than just a game — it was where friendships were built, character was formed, and ordinary afternoons turned into memories that stay with you for life. The freedom to gather on a court, play with the people you love, and simply enjoy the game is something I will always be grateful for. This is where freedom plays. 🏀🇵🇭

Honored to pay tribute to our roots through the sport that continues to unite us. 🙇🏽🙏🏾
