‘i don’t want to write a love song’ OUT EVERYWHERE

a new single. it feels weird moving on from such a big project focused on healing to writing a song expressing such a strong emotion of admiration for someone. life comes in such unexpected waves and music helps me redirect myself in moments of uncertainty. this song means so much to me , it allows me to understand that everything i feel is valid, to take risks and push through the doubts and be vulnerable despite being hurt before. one small moment should never effect the rest of your life, there’s so much more to experience and experiences won’t always be good but at least you always have yourself to fall back onto!

i also want to thank @seb.sand for bringing my dreams to life. this man is my partner in crime. i’ve never ever met someone with so much talent, love and passion before. thank you for elevating my life so much more, i couldn’t do anything i’ve done this past year and a bit without you my wonderful friend!

it’s finally here. the whole project. i deserve better.

i’ve been thinking about this moment for a long time. what i would have to and need to say.

in the process of writing these songs over the past year, i’ve experienced loss, grief, happiness, love and peace. i’ve revisited emotions from times where i didn’t truly know how to express myself and this project has saved me.

i began writing with absolutely no intention. i was frustrated, confused, i felt disrespected and used, all emotions i wouldn’t dare to put onto someone, so it was a tough time for me to really evaluate myself and learn these parts of me i have always tried to avoid. In that journey, i have never been more grateful for the experiences i have been given. from meeting some of the most important people in my life to being given opportunities i’ve dreamt of for the past few years.

the meaning of this EP changed throughout its production but the final message i want to give out to the world before you hear it is, sometimes you have to let things go to let better things in, and that’s the way the world works. in times where you feel held back, disappointed or disrespected, remember that you deserve better. tell yourself, ‘i deserve better’ because you do. as long as you try to put good things out into the world, you will always deserve better. there will be moments where you doubt your self-worth, everyone does but, as long as you stay true to yourself and lead your life with kindness, everything will all make sense.

and to seb. meeting you has changed my life. only for the better. your work ethic, passion and dedication in the studio and as a caring friend is admirable and inspiring. your ability to stay open-minded, positive and supportive through every step of this journey makes me so proud to have someone like you in my life. thank you for teaching me, guiding me and helping me. i hope this EP brings you just as much joy as it brings me. i am so lucky to call you my friend, let’s continue to make some sick music mannn. i love you @beuxlevi .

this project means so much to me, i really stepped out of my comfort zone but i wouldn’t change it for the world. i am swamped with so many emotions and honestly i am just so proud and grateful of the journey this song has taken me on.

i also want to thank my brothers @balliivory and @ixdoesmusic for the continuous support and love they give me when it comes to making my music. the faith you guys have in me really keeps me going and i love and appreciate you guys so much. thank you for creating this special song with me 🫶🏽

i cannot believe the day has come around for REAL. i’ve been so excited to release a new song and i’m so happy this is the one i get to release. PLEASE ENJOY I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!

i got to spend my time with one of my bestest friends arjun to make such a beautiful piece of music. he just knows how to make me happy fr, his talent and skills are just so admirable and i’m grateful and thankful for the time, effort and love he’s also put into this song. the amount of tiny edits we made face to face and through facetime and he just let me change whatever i wanted. doing this journey with you balli is something i would never change thank you for all of your support, i love you so very much ❤️ by @kierathaper

TEMPTATIONS IS OUT NOW ON ALL PLATFORMS ❗️

wow, where do i even start!? i just want to thank @wavy_balli for being the heart of this song, without his talent and creativity this song would not be as good as it is!

i also want to thank @ixdoesmusic for listening to me waffle about having second thoughts about putting any music out at all! their wise words really put my thoughts into place

the amount of support i’ve gotten on this song from my friends and family is insane and i am so grateful for everyone that has helped me with this song and given their feedback. @raphkara

i have been working on this song for just over a year now and i have loved it from the first day i played those chords! the first time we recorded we had no idea how much better it was yet to be made! my initial idea was that i wanted it to be a dramatic song with a lot of belts and something that would be nice to perform (if i was ever to perform it). i think we had another session on this song and then i ended up getting covid and had to put it on hold for a while. anyway in the time that i was ill arjun and i still worked on the song and decided what instruments would sound good and then i just fell in love with the idea of there being strings as you can hear towards the end! this has been the biggest project i’ve done with my music and to be totally honest, i am SO SCARED HAHA but with all your guys’ support i am so thankful! thank you ❤️
