Ok crazy story, here we are waiting at the mid point of our shakeout run with the group and I’m casually filming the scenes and who does my bestie spot? Yes, Brigid Kosgei!!

Girl was out there casually doing a shakeout run! How neat is that? So we instantly googled her and yep, she was running the Chicago marathon the next day, only to get THIRD place for the women! So amazing!!

CHICAGO MARATHON HAUL!

Came for the marathon, left with a whole lot of goodies! From the purchases I “definitely” needed 😉 to the freebies I couldn’t pass up, the Chicago Marathon weekend came with some pretty good perks!

Running isn’t just about the miles, the training, and crossing that finish line. It’s also about the experiences, the memories, the community, and, of course, the swag!

Now tell me… are you team “I’m only looking” or team “add to cart?”

26.2 miles later, and we are officially CHICAGO MARATHON FINISHERS! 🏅🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

From the early morning frozen toes to the roaring crowds on Michigan Avenue, we took on the Windy City and won.

The energy was electric, our legs are completely shot, but we are feeling on top of the absolute world right now! 🌬️🏙️

✨💖 SCIENCE HAS ENTERED THE CHAT. 💖✨

They say marathon PRs come from the training, the fueling, and the miles… but has anyone considered the glitter?! ✨

We put glitter on our faces before the Chicago Marathon, and we BOTH got PRs. Coincidence? I think NOT.

Ladies, forget the magic shoes. We’re running on sparkle, friendship, and a little delusion. ✨

Chicago, we came. We sparkled. We PR’d.

Marathon number 8, and this feeling never gets old. 🥹🏃🏽‍♀️✨

The excitement. The butterflies. The gratitude. The quiet confidence that comes from knowing how much work it took to get here. The nerves about what’s ahead. The pride of standing in a room full of people who understand what it means to chase something that requires so much of you. And that moment when you pick up your bib and it all starts to feel REAL.

Eight marathons later, I still get that same feeling. Because it’s never just about the miles or the finish line. It’s about the person you become along the way. The early mornings, the hard runs, the days you showed up when you didn’t feel like it, and the reminder that you’re still capable of doing hard things.

POV: You’re just walking back to the train after the expo… and Chicago has other plans. 👀🔥

Walked right into the Nike Lamborghini pop-up and somehow ended up fifth in line to preorder the new Nike APEX sneakers!

Tell me why my casual walk to the train turned into a sneaker moment?! If you could see my closet, you would have told me to keep walking. My bestie, however, followed me right to the line.

To say I’m excited is an understatement!!

To time qualify to be able to run my SECOND world major took me by total surprise, but since I hit the time needed, I went ahead and signed up! ⭐️⭐️

Then… to have my bestie running too, that put the icing on the cake!

What’s our weekend plans you ask? Soak it all in, spend our bestie time talking each other’s ears off, and running 26.2 freaking miles through the city of Chicago!!
