Lallan Sweets is a heartwarming story set in 1995, revolving around a very famous local sweet shop known for its delicious laddoos. The secret behind the shop’s success is a “magic ingredient” that is known only to Lalaji, the family patriarch.

When Lalaji decides to retire, things get interesting. Tara’s uncle, Pappu, is convinced that the shop will naturally be passed down to him because, in his mind, he is the man of the family. Tara is completely overlooked simply because she is a woman. But Lalaji has other plans. Instead of handing the shop over to anyone, he declares that it has to be earned.

He challenges his three grandchildren Tara, Rohit, and Mohit to a treasure hunt across North India. Whoever manages to find the treasure and bring it back first will earn the right to run Lallan Sweets.

Tara sets off on this adventure with her childhood best friend and long-time crush, Nikku, and their journey was definitely one of the fun parts of the book.

It was fun to read this book, with all the adventure, family drama, romance, and little nostalgic touches. It had such a warm and feel-good vibe. If you love Bollywood-style rom-coms, stories set in the ’90s, grand quests, and childhood friends-to-lovers, then this book is definitely worth picking up! 💕

I don’t even know how to start this review because how am I supposed to put this much love into words? I genuinely feel like no amount of words would ever be enough to explain how much I loved these books 😭💘 I knew Thatcher was going to be my favorite from the very beginning, but becoming some of my best reads of the year? I definitely wasn’t prepared for that 🥹 I just love them so much, and I know I’ll always have a special place in my heart for them. They are SO perfect for each other. A man who barely understands or feels emotions, but somehow feels everything for her? And she’s the one who helps him understand and put a name to every emotion he feels? 🥹🫶🏻 Please, just take my heart because I clearly don’t need it anymore 😭💕

I also loved the other characters so much, especially seeing them finally get their revenge and, most importantly, not leave each other halfway through everything 🥹 I’m kinda nervous but also really excited for Silas’s book, and I honestly can’t wait to start it! 💕

Loved this book more than the first one! 🥹🫶🏻

This is the second book in The Hollow Boys series, and it follows Rook Van Doren and Sage Donahue. The story jumps between the past and present, showing us what Rook and Sage were like before Rosemary’s death and what happens when Sage returns to Hollow Heights afterward.

Sage is Rosemary’s twin. She has spent years wearing a perfect-girl mask while carrying so much underneath it. But after her sister’s death, she’s done pretending everything is fine. When she returns from Monarch Mental Health Institution, she’s seeking answers about her sister’s death. She wants to help the Hollow Boys uncover the secrets surrounding everything that happened, but Rook is convinced that she’s hiding something.

And Rook Van Doren OH GOD, THE MAN HE IS! 😭🥹🫶🏻 I love him SO much. I genuinely wish I could hug him and tell him that it’s not his fault 😭🫂 Getting to know more about him and everything he carries made me love his character even more 💕

I also LOVED seeing Rook and Silas’s relationship. Their friendship, the boys’ bond and the way they always have each other’s backs are honestly some of my favorite things about this series 🥹🫶🏻 I just love the relationships between these characters so much!!

And the tension between Rook and Sage?? INTENSE 😭🤌🏻 Their relationship is complicated, messy and filled with so many emotions, and I was completely invested in them 🤭💕

Some questions finally got answered in this book, but a few still remain unanswered, and now I’m even more curious to see how everything unfolds.

I’m SO excited to read the next book because it’s Thatcher’s book!!! 🖤😌

OMGGG I loved this book sooo much!! 😭💘 Safe to say I'll be thinking about it for a while because I instantly started the second book!! 💕

Shield of Sparrows is a romantasy set in the world of Calandra. The story starts with Princess Odessa Cross, who's the eldest daughter, ignored and overlooked. Her younger half-sister, Mae, has been trained to become a queen one day. But, but, but... when the day comes, Prince Zavier chooses Odessa instead! And now Odessa is forced into a political marriage under a treaty named Shield of Sparrows. From there, she discovers sooo many secrets and much more. Every new reveal had me even more invested!

I really liked Odessa's character. She's so brave, and I just love her. 🥹🫶🏻 And Guardian? He was so grumpy 😭💕 But I kinda liked him, ngl. I really wish we get his POV chapters in the next book because I NEED to know what goes on inside that man's head😭💕 I loved, loved the side characters, especially Evie!! She's the cutest! I love her sm 🥹

The world-building was amazing! I didn't feel lost while reading it, and I loved how easy it was to understand everything without feeling overwhelmed.If you love Romantasy, forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers, Marriage of Convenience then this book is for you 💕

Mistakes Were Made by Lucy Score is a small-town romance that follows Zoey Moody, a chaotic, broke literary agent who finds herself staying in the small town of Story Lake, Pennsylvania. Zoey has one goal: to make Hazel's next book a massive breakout hit so she can get her career back on track and return to New York. On the other hand, Gage Bishop is a local handyman who's also practicing law. He has the next five years of his life planned out and is now looking for a wife. After an unexpected one-night stand, their lives become tangled, and as the story unfolds, more secrets come to light while the two slowly fall for each other 🤭💕

I loved both of the main characters! Zoey's journey from struggling with ADHD to accepting herself was beautifully done, and her friendship with Hazel was so wholesome. And the entire Bishop family? Absolutely the best! 🥹🫶🏻

It took me a little while to get into the book, but once I reached the halfway point, I couldn't put it down! I ended up loving it so much. The side characters were amazing, and all the adorable pets Nana and Meetcute were so cute 😭💕 And Goose? He was absolutely hilarious 😂 I was laughing every single time he showed up!

Overall, this was such a fun read. If you enjoy small-town romance, forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try!
