Heavy is the burden when a project is about you. Even heavier when you are new to the world of cinema. Watching the young and talented Miss Kiki Hammill on and off camera, you wouldn’t think that an entire project weighed on her shoulders. The responsibility to pay homage to people that were represented in ‘Morningside’ is a monumental task. Making the audience fall in love with you is even more difficult. In addition to that, she also had to do it while carving out her time on screen against a veteran ensemble. As far as I’m concerned this movie belongs to this young lady. Every moment she’s on screen she shines. She’s going to blow the world back. She’s kind, funny and humble. Thank you Kiki for our raison d’être. In honour of Black History Month I’m celebrating black women of the past with black women of the future! A couple of years ago I had the honour of working alongside the phenomenal cast and crew of #selfmadenetflix . It was insane and blew my mind every day to work with the incredibly talented cast I grew up watching on TV! Madam C.J Walker’s story is not known by many and needs to be! Self Made is a great way to learn Sarah’s story and be inspired by her dream and her tenacity. I am so so greatful for the love and the lessons I got from that set as well as the empowerment this story gives me🤍🤍 Happy Black History Month y’all !!🫶🏾🫶🏾

Ginny and Georgia season 2 is out and I hope you fall in love with the show as much as I have🤍

I couldn’t get pictures with everyone but the cast and crew were so so fun and amazing to work with! Such a hardworking team I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world! I’ve made lovely friends who inspire me everyday and I am so thankful for GNG! Have a watch and let me know what you think!

Poppin in on a Wednesday, 8pm!

I can’t put into words how much I loved playing Maya and the joys of being apart of the #BrilliantMinds family . Everyday on set was full of laughter and lessons being surrounded by incredibly talented, dedicated and hardworking people. An experience I truly will never forget 🤍🫂

As a gal born in Scarborough, Morningside is so special to me on so many levels. I am beyond grateful for the experience, friendships, opportunities and love that have come from this film. I have learned so much about this beautiful art form and what it means to let passion and determination fuel your work.
