Aaaayyye Saturday for the @mirage.tw festival warm up in collaboration with @outandabouttw was pretty damn special I have to say. That is what music is all about, bringing everyone together in a safe environment where we can all be as one, forgetting all our problems for few hours immersing ourselves in the music and the people. The community we are building is amazing. It’s all inclusive. All ages. All races. All nationalities. Beautiful. That was the most fun I’ve ever had playing with my man @pierreberthomier - we went on quite a journey starting off slow then flying through different sounds through the sunset into the night. And what an incredible location. What made it special was we had all the international crowd getting to experience the pure beauty of cultural Taiwan. But what warmed my heart even more was there was a few Taiwanese who had experienced this location for the first time all because of this event - the power of music! Personally this is the spark I’ve been needing. I’ve been a shadow of myself this last year. Lost the love and passion. Feeling a bit lost and helpless in life. Mental health ain’t no joke. But this really gave me my mojo back, making me feeling like an excited kid again! So shout out to everyone who made this event happen from the staff, artists, and the people on the dancefloor! I hope this has wetted the appetite with everyone for the Mirage Festival next month! Much love ❤️ *********************** Aaaayyye 上週六與 @outandabouttw 合作的 @mirage.tw 音樂節暖身活動真的特別棒，我不得不說。 這就是音樂的真諦，把大家聚集在安全的環境中，大家合而為一，忘記所有煩惱幾個小時，沉浸在音樂與人群裡。 我們正在建立的社群太棒了。完全包容。所有年齡。所有種族。所有國籍。美好。 這是我和我的兄弟 @pierreberthomier 一起演出最開心的一次——我們展開了一場精彩的旅程，從慢節奏開始，然後飛越不同的聲音，從日落一路進入夜晚。 而且地點真是令人難以置信。特別之處在於，所有國際觀眾都能體驗到台灣文化的純粹之美。但更讓我心暖的是，有幾位台灣人因為這次活動第一次體驗到這個地點——音樂的力量！ 就我個人而言，這正是我需要的火花。過去一年我一直像自己的影子，失去了愛與熱情，對人生感到有點迷失與無助。心理健康可不是開玩笑的。但這真的讓我找回了勁頭，讓我再次感覺像個興奮的孩子！ 所以向所有促成這次活動的人致敬，從工作人員、藝術家，到舞池上的人們！ 希望這能勾起大家對下個月 Mirage Festival 的期待！ Much love ❤️ taken in 林安泰古厝 by @kikobarraza

Mirage Festival Dump… Ayyye, that was a bit of alright wasn’t it? Absolutely fucking beautiful in fact. Firstly, all the love and appreciation for the @mirage.tw team who were doing the lords work delivering such an incredible experience for everyone involved. These people have been grafting, putting in some serious work from preparation to executing and you can feel it when you’re there, especially the fine little details they pay attention to. You guys are the true MVPs. My favourite part of the festival was seeing all the new connections and friendships being birthed. To see my Hong Kong crew crossing over with the Singapore crew crossing over with the Thailand crew crossing over with the South Korean crew and then with our Taiwanese family, and watching them all effortlessly befriend each other like they’ve known each other their whole life. Beautiful. That’s what these things are all about and I am excited for all the future collaborations that come our way. All the artists delivered on both stages. Everyone played their part. This festival really made me realise just how good our scene is. We have really dope artists. Our community and dancefloor are even better. We are spoiled. Personally. My sets were hit and miss. I realise how inexperienced I still am, but know the ways I need to improve and be better. Being a man who gets ridiculously anxious and stressed with DJing, you can’t even begin to imagine where my head went when @pierreberthomier cancelled on our first set an hour before we start. Pure meltdown mode. And I then lost my head for that set. The alcohol helped me forget it though! Shout out @lucypova for the assist to begin with 🙏🏼 There was some redemption on Sunday. Pierre and I done alright for 80%. But being unprepared we had a couple of panic moments and chose the wrong songs / energy but again. Lessons learned. And I know better for it. Fortunately we always can dig ourselves out as we have got very good taste in music! Much love to everyone for making it an incredible experience. It’s time for the second edition of the @mirage.tw festival kicking off later today! I know the weather has been absolutely biblical in Taipei, but I’ve been assured by the weather gods that as we venture further south the weather and forecast will get better as the weekend sets in and we will be able to make it all magical like it was last year! I will be back to back with my better half @pierreberthomier playing back to back both night on the Oasis Stage and then again on the Sunday closing out the Warehouse Stage. But maaaaan, workloads have been hectic for the pair of us and our preparation hasn’t been the best but we will make it work and create special experiences. Fully expecting a slow first day, picking up considerably Saturday and then absolutely incredible on the last day. All our local Taiwanese family are involved, and I’m looking forward to seeing all their growth as artists, especially the live acts who are another level of talent. It’s going to be great also as we have my Hong Kong and Singapore crews in town bringing their wonderful vibes and personalities to mix with our people which will be a beautiful site. Then we top the weekend off with a couple of really nice headliners to close the festival out so make sure to stay to the end so you don’t miss out. Most important part is just bringing everyone together and creating all those special bonds and friendships - that’s the beauty of these festivals. Anyways, fucking let your hair down for a minute. A weekend where we leave our troubles at the door and just embrace the moment and life together. The Mirage team have busted their balls delivering everything once again - the least we can do is return the favor with love by adding our own sprinkle of magic to the festival….See y’all on the dancefloor 💃🕺 by @kikobarraza

Thank you all for sharing your good vibes with us last Saturday 🤍 Hope you all loved the music as much as we did. From Airplane Mode TW’s ( @airplanemode_tw ) organic music yoga set, to Housemate’s ( @wearehousemate ) tech/bass house, Angela BU’s ( @angelaorbu ) brought the Afro/Indian house vibes. Then for the very first time, Kiko Barraza ( @kikobarraza ) & Stefo ( @_stefo ) did a b2b full of disco and acid house. And our special guest from Korea, Red Pig Flower ( @redpigflower ) took the energy even higher — don’t think anyone left the dance floor! A huge thanks to Berthom ( @pierreberthomier ) for the surprise happy ending set too. It was everyone’s energy that made this event so special. Big love to Chinatown Sky Bar ( @chinatown.taipei ) for the amazing historic venue. Perfect for any weather — rain or shine. We have curated a fresh collection of artists who will take you on a journey all evening floating between various house music styles. From Singapore we welcome @sherylsho & @reubenn_chay - a duo who have been an integral part of the scene in Singapore with both having exquisite taste in music. Formerly based in Taiwan, @henryhenryhenrycooper is now based in Thailand, and has become an important artist as well as voice for the culture thanks to his @mixmagasia role. The Taiwanese have been infiltrated. I repeat the Taiwanese have been infiltrated 🇹🇼 Tomorrow we have managed to pull off a coup where we have been given the keys to the historical landmark Lin A Tai Historical House 林泰安古厝 for the day where we will do a @mirage.tw festival warm up event in collaboration with @outandabouttw A nice civilized gathering of good people and good music from 5pm - 10pm. Bring your friends, gran, dog and kids and let them immerse themselves in the beautiful landscapes and music. There will be food and drink vendors on site, but we are also a good bunch of cunts that you are welcome to bring in some drinks from 7/11 and Family Mart. I will be playing back to back with my Paraguayan brother @pierreberthomier from 615-730. As always. Life has got too much for us. Pierre is moving to another city, and I have been drowning in work that we haven’t been able to do preparation that I’d like, but it’s all good - we will be coming in all guns blazing with a cluster fuck of a back to back to see you through the sunset! 500NTD on the door.
