Words cannot express how incredible this trip was. I am so grateful for the love God showed me in this journey. Through every smile, lesson, and interaction with everyone on this trip he was present. Thank you to all the kids who reminded me how fun this game was and allowing us to teach them about Jesus and the lord’s good news💗 Thank you to my team and leaders for guiding me while growing my faith and for all the laugh, tears and memories we shared. okay real talk,

about a year ago I decided to give my life to Christ. I was finishing my second year at community college and was uncommitted with no where to go. I was lost and scared but the one thing I knew was I could count on was my heavenly father. Reflecting on this time now I think not only was I wanting to get baptized to show the world I chose christ as my lord and savior but deep down hoping that it would it stand out to the lord and in return he would make my path perfect with sunshine and rainbows.

I think that often times with social media and the day we live in that we struggle with our walk with the lord because it is often portrayed as a perfect pinterest board and cute devotional books. So we question why we struggle when others walks look so perfect. Then when we do we blame ourselves for not being good enough followers.

No matter if you are new to your walk or just stuck in a valley right now I want you to understand that it won’t always be easy, aesthetic, and perfect, and that’s okay.

During my first year after being baptized it was far from perfect. I faced moving from my friends and family again, being at a new school, heart break, loss, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. I never thought I would be good enough and I prayed that God would take my life. Instead he showed me that mine was worth living and that I had purpose.

If you have read this far down I just want you to know that it is okay to struggle. God doesn’t call us to be perfect he just asks us to have faith in him and his plan for us. If you are struggling please know that you are worthy and God has a plan for you, find your community and the beauty in the little things and don’t fall into the trap of comparing your walk with others because everyone has a different calling!

Freshman year I was invited to a bible study by one of the sophomores at school. Just looking to fit in and make new friends my eyes were opened and I discovered an unconditional love. I am forever grateful for God’s plan and bringing me such amazing people, friends and mentors. Today at our last bible study Emma and I were able to be baptized by the Riche family and declare Jesus as our lord and savior. Thank you to everyone who has been apart of my testimony and this journey and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me next💗 by @kiley_ann.17
