How many pastéis de nata can one person eat? Side quest included: sus alley, Brazilian underground music, and“exotic food” that turns out to be just pani puri and jamu… by @kill_jacqueline
New continent unlocked: Africa. Almost died climbing the sand dunes… 10/10 would never do it again. Hamid, our driver, named us Aisha and Fatima, and it quickly became our favourite icebreaker with the locals. Found my favourite drink, khoudenjal. My eyes watered, my nose started running, but it’s so soothing. #モヤシの旅 by @kill_jacqueline

Florentine Goodness That Lives Rent-Free in My Mind (and Stomach) – Part II I’ Girone De’ Ghiotti One of the most popular sandwich spots in Firenze, and their Suicida (porchetta, sundried tomatoes, spicy sauce) was amazing! The mulled wine was divine too~ Trattoria Sabatino A local favorite where you’ll need to queue for at least 20 mins before opening. They change their menu daily and post it online. This trattoria is extremely friendly and full of love. Don’t miss their roasted potatoes whenever you order a secondi! Prices are reasonable, and portions are average, so you can try more dishes. Alla Vecchia Bettola Reservations aren’t easy to secure and the location is quite out of the way. While “Bettola” carries a slight negative connotation (referring to a drinking hole or a low-quality place), the vibe and interior are charming—though dining here can be a bit stressful. Their Castagnaccio was mind-blowing, and the €5 all-you-can-drink house wine is unbeatable! La Boutique Del Sud Best arancini handmade by a Sicilian! It was near my airbnb, visit if you’re staying in the area. Trattoria Mario Other than Sabatino and Sostanza, Mario is my next favourite! Pasta and service was so gooood~ Trattoria F.lli Boschetti A surprising find on Google Maps, easily bookable via The Fork. The staff doesn’t speak English, but they provide an online English menu. Their food felt warm and homey. I loved the texture of their Tortellini Mugellani di Patate and their beef stew was excellent 👍🏼 The Tiramisu was also pretty good. Sergio Pollini Lampredotto I tried 3 different Lampredotto Panini in Firenze, and this is the best of the best! Right amount of kick from the sauce, and the cow’s stomach texture is perfect 😮‍💨 Vivoli Totally worth the hype! While the vanilla gelato is quite sweet on its own, it tastes great as an Affogato. Go in the morning if you don’t wanna queue 🙂‍↔️ #モヤシの旅 #モヤシの食事 #Firenze #italy by @kill_jacqueline

Florentine Goodness That Lives Rent-Free in My Mind (and Stomach) Trattoria Sostanza One of the top 150 legendary restaurants! Excellent service, friendly staff, and incredible food. Everything is cooked over charcoal, and the chefs’ fire control is exceptional. It’s so good I went there thrice during my 1 month stay in Firenze! I still remember the lovely buttery sage from the Petti di pollo al burro and that perfectly charred veal steak 😮‍💨 Btw, lunch reservations are easier to secure. Grazie mille Alex and crew for the amazing experience 😭 La cucina è molto buona e il personale molto simpatica. Arrivederci Trattoria Sostanza. Love, Arancini #モヤシの旅 #モヤシの食事 by @kill_jacqueline

The last time I went on a solo trip was 5 years ago. Before starting my 2-month solo trip, I was so anxious I nearly threw up at the airport… but I’m glad I pushed through. I met so many kind souls along the way. #モヤシの旅 #一人旅 by @kill_jacqueline
