I remember exactly where I was upstairs at Quakerbridge Mall in 2000 when my cell rang. It was Cali Cal. I answered and he said “You heard Snoop’s new track?” I said “Nah” He said “From now on I’m Cali Kizzle and you’re Tizzle. Fo’ Shizzle my nizzle!” That was that, Fo’ Shizzle was the label and the whole city knew me as Tizzle.

Shortly after that @slugpalmer3749 and I went to get inked by @deadsparrowtattoos . He got the Koolaid Man on his belly and I got “Tizzle” on my collar bone. That’s another story. Shout out Slang and Doc.

I had been making beats and building a studio since I moved back to NJ from Chicago in 1997. I spent a little over a year out there on some advertising and printing business. I missed making music since I sold all my guitars and stopped playing in bands to move to Chicago. Anyway the studio bounced around a few spots in Trenton. Always on the 3rd floor of my house. Bond Street, South Broad…IYKYK.

Cal was my first and the most consistent artist I worked with and no doubt produced the most tracks with until about 2009. At that point I started touring on the regular producing video.

Good to catch up and chop it up tonight. We had some wild times back in the day and made some bangers.

Trenton makes, the world takes.
