WEDDINGS ONLINE AWARDS

We’re delighted to share that Killruddery has been nominated in two categories in the weddingsonline Awards 2027!

- Country House Venue of the Year
- Venue Co-ordinator of the Year - Leinster

These nominations mean so much to us because Killruddery weddings are managed with alot of care & attention to detail. Behind every celebration is a whole Estate of people, skills and care coming together to create something truly special.

From our Gardeners growing seasonal produce and flowers in the Walled Garden, to our Flower Studio florists creating beautiful bouquets and floral displays, our chefs preparing menus around what is growing and our weddings team carefully bringing every detail together - there is a great deal happening behind the scenes long before guests arrive.

And, of course, our wonderful weddings manager; Gemma Arnold, caring deeply at the heart of it all, guiding couples through their journey with care, creativity and attention to detail, ensuring each celebration is personal to them and in harmony with the season.

Congratulations to Aoife & Karan who were married at Killruddery earlier this year and thank you for appearing in this reel, which captures behind the scenes of a wedding at Killruddery.

We are grateful to all the couples who have entrusted us with their wedding day and to every member of the Killruddery team who help make these celebrations possible.

Here’s to the 17C gardens, the flowers, the food, the people, the planning and all the beautiful moments in between. Voting is now open, via link in bio!

INTERWOVEN IS NOW OPEN

Last night we gathered at Killruddery Yard to open Interwoven: Between Cultivation and Wildness.
@killruddery

Earlier this year, we launched our first Killruddery Arts Open Call, inviting artists to respond to ideas around land, biodiversity, material culture and our place within the natural world. We received almost 200 applications, from which 39 artists were selected.

Interwoven explores ecology and human intervention, cycles of cultivation and decay, and the tension between worked landscapes and native wildness.

The exhibition enters into dialogue with Killruddery itself - a working farm, historic gardens and woodlands, shaped by generations of cultivation, stewardship and change.

At its heart, Interwoven asks us to recognise ourselves as part of nature and to consider where the natural world ends, if indeed it does, and human influence begins.

A huge thank you to all 39 participating artists who trusted us with their work and to everyone who joined us last night to celebrate them.

Thank you to Dr Matthew Jebb, Irish botanist and former Director of the National Botanic Gardens, for so generously opening the exhibition and sharing his perspective with us.

Over the next while we will share their work & stories.

And to Arabella Bishop @arabellabishopartadvisory , Emilia Jones @luckylot and Harsh Bhavsar @harshxspace , who joined Fionnuala Brabazon @astonardee on the selection panel; to Harsh, who worked alongside Fionnuala on the curation and exhibition design; and to curator Eamonn Maxwell @eamonnmaxwell whose encouragement helped us takes steps to launch our first Open Call in motion.

We hope Interwoven might be the beginning of an annual Open Call and group exhibition at Killruddery Arts.

INTERWOVEN
Between Cultivation and Wildness

12th September – 8th November 2026

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Interwoven explores ecology and human intervention, cycles of cultivation and decay, and the tension between worked landscapes and native wildness.

The exhibition enters into dialogue with Killruddery Estate – a place shaped by agriculture, history and everyday public life. A place whose stewardship of land, guided by a commitment to sustaining ecology and biodiversity, locates these artistic enquiries within a continually evolving landscape.

At its heart, Interwoven asks us to recognise ourselves as part of nature and to question where the natural world ends and human influence begins. It presents the land as a shared, evolving fabric, shaped by ecological processes and the ways in which we inhabit it.

The participating artists were selected through a Killruddery Arts open call inviting work connected to place, material and process.
